I visited Oslo for the first time last year and visited Outland, even though my feet were dying I couldn't help but drag myself around the next corner to see the next awesome nerdy thing! And now that I know that it was YOU that was behind the awesome diorama at the entrance... That's just insane and a really cool behind the scenes. And yeah I agree Outland is an awesome shop, and is my favourite Scandinavian shop of all time. I'm not very good at Norwegian but: Stå på med det gode arbeidet!

Loved everything about the video and am feeling inspired. I decided to start with cheap airfix to develop my painting skills before moving on. Always wanted to do this when younger but life got in the way. Am single with a lot of spare time so I cannot wait. Sending ❤😁🍻 from Ireland!

I've got a 3x3 foot Kessel (Star Wars) diorama that is probably 80% complete. It's been a struggle, mentally, to get it finished. Lighting is complete. 3d printing done. And the majority of the painting. Need to finish painting, weathering, and pouring resin. This was such a huge inspiration to get me going again, and finish it up. Thank you so much.

I'm just cutting out some foam while watching this to build a 1/12 scale Star Wars diorama of a maintenance tunnel with all sorts of pipes and cables and panels and machinery. Once I get the foam put together I plan to run some lights powered by 2 AA batteries and then start adding all the details. I got a Military Compound Terrain Crate by Manic that has tons of panels and other bits to add for details. It will be sold on ebay for someone wanting a dio for their Black Series or Figuarts figures once I'm done. It'll end up being in the area of 12x6x10 inches for reasonable shipping rates. Sounds like you're making one for gaming. I've never done a piece that large, but I bet it's a blast to make.

Just like some other people below, I recently came back from a trip to Norway and Oslo, and visited Outland especially to see this diorama. Very, very awesome, and I especially like the various small microscenes around the base. Being a model railway guy (not fantasy), I couldn't find anything to buy, but will try to support on the next visit.

It's such a good idea to include a clock while you're working so that folks know just how much time and effort you can sink into a project like this. To date, this is your best, most holistic, informationally dense work, Martina! I've seen all of your UT-available pieces and projects, and this is my balanced assessment: nothing comes even friggin' close to this one. It is your Mona Lisa, I guess. It's hard to replicate such a confluence of circumstances. But I wish that you would, some day, make something equally grand to this diorama again.

So many youtubers ive seen over the years have taken their passions and hobbies to youtube where it turns into a job for them and they get overworked and disinterested in doing what they once loved. Love seeing these types of projects and hope you continue this for many years to come just dont overwork/ force yourself to do anything just for some views. That is seriously awesome! Your waterfalls are so realistic. Love your cherry blossom tree! (Plus how towards the end you were standing next to the tree and it was blue hair/shirt one side and pink hair/tree on the other - the symmetree was very cool.

This is by far your best work yet! That technique for the stone texture is absolutely brilliant, I have to try that with some 40k terrain as well. Awesome job!

Holy shit, shoutout to your video editing; the pacing of this video is perfect!? It captured the process and techniques you used, any exposition/breaks to explain things in more detail was purposeful, informative and just overall was so easy to watch. It was entertaining and therapeutic seeing the process(probably some term exists out there that's the visual equivalent to ASMR but I can't think of it) but also showed enough to feel like an informative tutorial. Learned so much from this and feeling so inspired to make more cool stuff like this!!

That bridge - dunno why but I find it so satisfying to look at and those cobblestones have been made so easy... scratching away, not adding... thought more of mozaicking Oh and that hydra? already looks cool at 14:10 with that greenish plastic - obviously your paint is neat as well

@@olgaterzoglou7253 I am sorry I don't know I did not check that. But they had a huuge selection of english books so i'd assume they do. I was really happy there! I even noticed a book series that I read when I was around 12 (found them at the library and i for suuure was way to young to read them ) but they never finished translating it to my native language. SO I totally forgot about it and then 15 years Later I see 5 books in total not just 3 in this series :D I got them all and was very happy.

Okay, so I’m super new to this side of art. Most of my focus has been like, drawing, sketching, writing, world-building, you know, that stuff. I didn’t realize epoxy was used in art though! Im currently a uni student studying applied physics with a focus in materials science. When we talk about epoxy, it’s usually as a ultra-high end composite matrix for things like aerospace, defense, high performance race cars, and occasionally high ends sporting equipment. Usually, we use unsaturated polyester or vinylester for things like boats, chemical storage, and large scale structures because it’s significantly cheaper. Never once though did we bring up art though! Yes, this is a bizarre thing to nerd out on, but now I can just write down another major application for epoxy resin :D

You're mastering the knack to make me go "Holy shit Martina!" with just the thumbnail, because damn! Fantastic job! I love all the little details! The lights! The raging river! The signpost to many realms! Yeah, that's a piece to cause geekgasms :D And it's great you found out about the plaster molds too, great results in a fraction of the time. And also, nice cold-hot color combo on the hair :D
