Another great method to use foam is to burn a bit with a light. It gets the superficial layer harder and looks like stone. Later you can paint it, or even cheaper, "paint" with concrete. I have used it and looks amazing. It is a really cheap and easy way to make "artificial rocks". But it is importan to use high-density polystyrene beacause is is harder. Is is a very cheap way to isolate the indoor of your home from cold and noises too.

That looks incredible, congrats! As a theme park enthusiast, I was happy you mentionned Diney and Universal, as you project is indeed very theme-parkish (down to the trip to second-hand stores for props, haha). Have you noticed, at Universal mainly, they do use the same perspective shift trick as your windows on some rides? The pionneer of that was Spider-Man (Islands of Adventure) which did that in 1999. It's called squinching, and it's not using head-tracking, but instead knows where the vehicle is on the tracks, so it's pre-rendered. But it works wonderfully! Also if you ever come to Europe, you might want to check out Toverland, which is pretty much filled with this wizard-style scenery; and Phantasialand, because it's plain amazing.

Wait, you actually built all that? Just stumbled upon your channel today, and while watching another one of your videos, I immediately thought that must be green screen, and gave it no further thought. Then I watched another one of your videos and noticed that the background looked more convincing than mere green screen trickery,, so I started digging a bit deeper and found this video where you actually built the whole thing. Amazing!

With Martina’s God level of patience and her natural artful eye and craftiness… I can’t be the only one who wants to see what she would create in the new Zelda game. She’s probably already built a Steam Punk city.

I completely agree with that you said ahout IKEA. It's always been my dream to have a beautiful old worldy, wizardy style room to house my collections of old books and trinkets and IKEA doesn't do justice to my desire to showcase what I have in a more Louis Treize style/ wizard way. You've given me hope that I can attempt to custom my room further. I really love and appreciate everything you do and you will always be my role model in creativity. Thank you so much for this video and all of your videos.

You (along with Jazza and Imphenzia and some other KZbin creators) have helped me realize... creative people... create. Whatever the medium, whatever the tools; they create. And I'm not one of them.
@ariamelody5560 Жыл бұрын
The thing about art is, that you can become an artist. All you have to do is create. It doesn’t have to be any one thing, it doesn’t have to be “good” either, so in the words of Scott Christensen Sava “ the world need more art. The world needs your art.”
@CookingSomeOmelette Жыл бұрын
@@ariamelody5560 I agree with you. Scott is an amazing artist and inspired tons of people to create your art. It doesn’t matter the medium, the technique, all that matters is your art and that YOU are proud of it. Don’t mind negativistic people. Instead, mind the talented folks and yourself for creating art that people can see and be inspired on!

Me either. Not an artistic bone in my body.

Creative people create indeed, but being a creative person is not a requirement _to_ create. Not everyone is creative by nature, but everyone can be an artist, if they want to be.
@maudline Жыл бұрын
Also remember creativity comes in many forms so while you may not be artsy your creativity could show up in another way, ex entrepreneurship or parenting 😊

Are sets like these fire hazards?
@bodotrenaud7441 Жыл бұрын
@@NyxBluebell depending the materials chosen. Did this use fireproof plywood ? And especially which foam did they use ? Did they use fire retarding paints ? Especially that there are lights and screen mixed inside. The risk is of almost instant fire propagation and toxic fumes from all the foam. If wanna now what I would be worried about just KZbin some * house fire propagation* video

6:24 I never thought I'd get rickrolled in a Nerdforge video but here we are 😂 8:36 Hansi is a treasure 😂😂 Martina's laugh afterwards makes me so happy 🥺 11:47 William has eyes now! OKAY THE END RESULT LOOKS SO EPIC!!! I WANT MY HOUSE TO LOOK LIKE THAT OMG!!!😍😍😍 The only thing I would do differently is that I'd have all the bookshelves to be deep enough to actually hold real books so I can finally curate the library of my dreams and I'd have real drawers because I personally feel that one can never have too much storage space in a studio and I have a ton of things to store lol (especially if the drawers were as big as Martina made them look- one of them is big enough for my entire sewing kit alone while the other can probably hold all of my paints) but other than that, I'd give up my firstborn for a studio that looks like this... someone find me a wizard (besides Martina and Hansi of course), I got a deal to make with them😂

You have all the basics covered, now all you need is a crystal ball, a skull, and some sort of animal "familiar"...ravens and owls are good choices. Or maybe something more exotic like an imp or gargoyle. And those are the only minor details I can think of. This is a gorgeous build, and much, much better than a lot of Hollywood movie sets I have seen. Bravo!
