This is really great Nic. I like the aluminum spars and they make me thing outside the normal box of components that FliteTest highlights.

Kristopher Kane It's so strong! I've not been able to come up with something stronger that's lighter.

Amazing work man. I will have to build myself one of these. You've gotta love planes that track like they're on rails.

JamesWhomsley Thanks! You should definitely build one.

Amazing how well flaps are used on the small, fast speed demon models. ^_^ One can always reinforce the bottom fuselage with reinforced packaging tape or plastic vovering underneath. Nice video and keep them roling. ^_^

+CrstnJdiKnight Adding some reinforcement to the underside is a good idea for belly landers!

Nic Lechner what is the material of the reinforcement? Where can I get it?

*119MPH??!!!!!* 😱😱 THAT'S a Testament to a great Design, and very rugged Airframe! .... Something I didn't see on your Build Video - *FLAPS!!* That's a game changer for me. Now I REALLY want one! I'll figure out some way. Foam Core has come a Long way in a short time. Yeah, I'll try to get one. I'm thinking, with Landing Gear and "Russian Sized" Tires, that should take off and land pretty well, even on Grass. ~ Carmine 💥 ⛽

wow, great design. you could probably work at flite test.

His models are better than those from flitetest, more scale, better finished and more advanced. FT crew could learn from Nic a lot.

Hey Nic, could you suggest a speed gun? I would like to have one, but I have no idea what brand to buy.

Wow, quite the model but may I ask about the durability? How is it in comparison to other foam board planes? Also make the link to your page a hyperlink. Thanks
@nerdnic9 жыл бұрын
Granite So far I've crashed the original build twice. Once during filming and once today. It's holding together really well so far. The v2 speedwing design is overall stronger and the fuselage doubler really help keep it solid. Keep in mind though if you run a heavy set up landings are rougher on the airframe in gereral.
