If you pause the video at 13:21 when she shows the back of the box, it doesn't actually say it includes flowers or fragrance oil, but does say it includes two surprise trinkets. So the flowers are just decor you add yourself I guess and the fragrance assumed. Which is a total rip off for 25 dollars if you ask me.

This was me yesterday when a gas pump malfunctioned & sprayed 4 gallons of gas everywhere while the nozzle was still in my gas tank. The sensor was broken & the gas station did nothing not even make the pump unavailable for use. I of course called OSHA & the EPA & reported them so now they're under investigation. I was VERY SALTY

I feel like for most kits - especially bath bomb kits - it’s cheaper to buy the basic ingredients and add-ins separately than buying the kit. I bought a big bag of both baking soda and citric acid, soap colorant, fragrance oil, coconut oil, and molds (used plastic Easter eggs) for around $30 and was able to have 15-20 kids make at least one bath bomb each, plus left over ingredients. We even used the baking soda/citric acid combination for other “experiments”.

I got the second kit for Christmas last year and besides the obvious lack of materials, the bath bomb I made was actually really nice. I made the one with oats and it was very soothing. But it felt a little oily.

@@kioku119 In a British kit, yes, they would. I'd never seen measuring cups in my life until i bought some a couple of years ago to make American recipes. We use weights- the only people who don't have scales don't use recipes, but even then you can get the cheapest kind for like £3.

As a Science teacher, all the "STEM" kits make me so salty. About as salty as I was after buying a AU$60 kit from Questacon (a Science museum type place), only to find out it was just a bunch of plastic to make slimy goop. I got a bit excited and thought it was the gummy candy "mad scientist lab" of my childhood, so I didn't read wtf was actually in the box. Or when I read "science kit" boxes and they're really just a book and containers to make simple experiments you can do at home, like bicarb soda rockets, and they don't even really explain much of the science behind the experiments.

@@watsername yeah, but there are SO many cool Science and STEM things you could into a box and have it be education, fun AND worth the cost of the box. There are a handful of cheapish books ($5-20) with experiments and fun facts etc. Those are better than being scammed into those shitty crap "STEM" kits that are basically a book/instructions and some plastic, with or without enough ingredients to actually do some or all of the activities/experiments in the "kit". I mean, I'm a Science teacher so I do get to find some pretty cool stuff myself. I've got this one box of rocks for free from the Australian Gold somethingorother. It also came with little colourful books that tell us about the uses of gold (it's in your blood!), as well as where the rocks in the box came from and how they're formed. Not sure how much I would've paid for something like that if I wasn't a teacher, but it was kinda cool. I've also been scammed paying like $60 for something that was literally a cheap book, plastic containers/crap and a bag of powder to make into gross slime. Because I got excited and thought it was that edible worms/other gross stuff toy kit from my childhood. I still probably overpaid for the actual edible slime/boogers/skin/bugs kit I found later, but at least that was more than like 5 minutes of entertainment.

@@watsername also, if you get a chance when everything settles down and it reopens, go to the Tech Interactive museum in San Jose. I went there once on holiday, and it was so cool. I got to make my own glow in the dark bacteria (that I could look at online once I got home and put my ticket info in), explained pretty simply through written and video instructions so even a younger kid could be standing there making bacteria on their own agar plate :D
