As someone that works in a production facility (not this but food related) that zipper opening on the shrink wrap is SO HARD to get right… the temperature, the timing, and the tension on the shrink wrap… 😩 Ugh. Some days I’d rather just eat the plastic.

Hey, is there any reason why companies would choose to try and do the zipper opening, vs the classic red strip/string thing that helps break a single line of tear-strip holes? It works really good for paper, but sometimes helps with some lighter plastic wrapping. Maybe it's easier to do the shrink wrap holes than it is to try and line up and adhere the strip? The one time I worked in the packing part of a food production facility, we were using stickers and heat sealing to close up the wrapper, then got glued into an outer cardboard box.

This shows the difference between mass production and the smaller production of products, care or money driven production. I am not saying Mariah is not doing this for money, but it is not the only thing she is doing it for, we all work for money, she is not any different. This is not a put down, no one would work as hard as she does and not want to make a living of it. But this shows she is thinking about the quality, and affordability, it is a shame many do not do the same. She has done very well and I for one hope she keeps this up, bring life to her creations.

Another thing obviously we want things less mass produced but it's good to remember many of the machines need constant interaction and people even hand making things so it's good to appreciate such workers

Stickers are so single use. I can understand counting it as a single item, and keychains as multiples. It’s a different weight, a different application, and a different lifespan. A keychain will last a lot longer than a sticker.

That's probably a manufacture issue - paper bags are hard to keep in tact during the assembly process depending on the plant in which they are assembled, made, or packaged.

​@sunnymeowcat I can answer that! I work at a store. Anything that can be delicately opened and tampered with, usually will be. Just tape on a cardboard label is not necessarily secure. Tape can be peeled, and since the yellow is bright, it makes it hard to see fingerprints. Not to mention we get a lot of product that no matter how nicely it is packaged, It can get beaten up while being shipped to us, so that cardboard label could easily rip and tear. Yes it is more plastic being used, but it ensures that you are getting the things you paid for without losing items or someone sneaking something into it

If the 3 stickers are a set, I'd count them as 1 surprise, but if each sticker is random, but just put in 3s, then I'd count them as 3 surprises - same goes for any other repeat item. If 3 keychains came as sets, then they're only 1 surprise, as you would know what the 2 others would be by seeing the first one. Edit: 19:04 if the keychains and stickers are sets... I'm tempted to say these boxes may contain 6 items, but only hold 3 surprises - after all, you'll know 4 items simply by picking up either the keychain or one of the stickers... So they won't really be a surprise unless it's your first time opening that specific bag set

For this 11:54 It depends. 1. Sticker Quality-does the sticker actually feel good quality. 2. Is the sticker big or small 3. Is it of the same thing repeating 4. Could I buy them on a sticker sheet If the quality is mediocre for the sticker, I would feel upset. I know a few places for custom stickers that cost a little bit but the quality is worth it. If the sticker is small, it would feel as though it was just cut from a bigger sheet. Having it be about palm size is a good size for a sticker. If its just the same sticker over and over it would feel cheep regardless of quality or size. Finally if it looks like I could have bought it on a single sticker sheet. As for these? The quality doesn't seem the best but the size is decent. It doesn't look like it belongs on a single sticker sheet and clearly all diffent designs. Solid 3 out of 4. I've seen people bring up plastic issue, and I understand. With people literally tearing up packages for mysteries ( which I have seen countless times) it makes sense that they put it in a plastic container, with plastic bags around it to see if any of the items are missing. In an ideal world it would be tissue paper and/or a reusable bag. However, I understand why it was used. The plushie looks to be pretty good quality. With embroidered detail and fabric that is none glittery textured glitter fabric. The quality is something that is worth at least $15-20 on its own, and the keychain of characters you would be expected to pay roughly $10-15. Mainly due to copyright and listening. That isn't even including the cost of a custom Georgie container, which alone I can imagine someone paying $30 for. Overall a good deal

14:25 to me, if it's individual stickers/sticker sheets, I count each one separately. If it's a single sheet with like 5 stickers on it, I count that as 1. For Itty bitty stickers like those that come in the Real Littles backpacks, I still count the sheets together as one because it's basically one sheet cut into two pieces. For this set, I would call them 3 separate stickers because they're on separate sheets and are on the bigger side.
