Sorry Raygun. Not buying the explanation. Your a 36 (?) yo woman not 16, involved in the break dancing scene, apparently. You'd have watched thousands of BD videos and performances I would expect. I'm assuming your training regime would have included videoing yourself and being critiqued by a trainer and friends. At what point did you, for one second, think you were in any way, competition ready, let alone the Olympics? Your not a horrible person, just someone who was, for whatever the reason, betrayed by your trainers, family and friends that encouraged you. Not sure if they just couldn't bring it upon themselves to be honest or what. You'll have to also accept you weren't honest with yourself either. I hope this, if nothing else, has been a major learning curve for you. All the best.

The "trainer" is her husband.
@olliefoxx7165Ай бұрын
She wasn't "betrayed" by anyone. SHE betrayed the Australian tax payer and Australian "breakdancers". She is a professor of gender studies. Her and her husband founded the breakdancing organization that was tasked with picking the team. Her husband and mom were judges on her competitions. Her husband was given the coaching position despite being WORSE than her. Rachel and her husband financially benefited enormously from this grift. They both got an all exspense paid trip to Paris and they are still there. This person has benefited financially from grifting and finally got exposed.
@coolnoah2744Ай бұрын
Her moves showed that the Breakdancing scene was taking itself too seriously, forgetting it was a dance not a competition for who can spin on their heads for three minutes. The fact that no one knows who won the medals proves the professionals didn't do anything noteworthy.

I don't know why I'm so invested in this. I guess it just pissed me off once I knew the whole story and saw her reaction to it. She's 36, there's ZERO chance a 36 yo could possibly be the best breakdancer in Australia. ZERO
@kenw.453927 күн бұрын
Only way a 36 year old WITHOUT good skills could have gotten on the Olympic team is a flawed system that excludes the hundreds of talented young people in Australia who could have easily done better than her. Her husband wasn't one of the judges who directly scored her in their qualifiers but they are part of the leadership of the AOC system which strongly suggests some kind of undue influence if not outright corruption.
