Technically they showed A wolfen humanoid with no known or alluded connection to Vander. The theories, while proven true, were just theories based on game lore and supposition. However, there is no story connection in the glimpse of Singed’s experiment.

Silco, Grayson, Marcus, Benzo, Milo, Claggor, Remi’s son, Deckard, Sky, Bolbok and Hoskel are all characters from season one that are not only dead, but many of said deaths had massive narrative altering impacts on the events of both seasons and several left deep life altering scars on the surviving characters. Death both happens in Arcane, it happens even to children on screen and always has heavy consequences.

I feel like he did. I don't know if its a sync issue, but I feel like he called it a second before they showed evidence. I dunno. Someone needs to tell him "nothing stays dead" is a theme. The premise of the show is showing how these characters "transform" into their league characters. Death and resurrection is one method they use, especially to strip humanity from a character.

Ever since Vander was called "the Hound of the Underground" back in Ep. 1, LoL fans have speculated that he was Warwick. Warwick's lore was spotty originally, but his voice lines showed he had a history with Vi and Jinx.

As far as Warwick being intelligent enough to use an elevator. A lot of other reactors make this assumption. In my opinion, I thought it’s a simple as the fact he has metal shredding claws and was just following a smell so he tore through the floor to follow it and the first initial boom is him landing not the elevator landing otherwise like when you saw Jinx and Sev coming down the doors would just open automatically instead of him needing to exploding through it.

Also, this may be the close of Arcane, but the producers already have more stories that take place in the LoL lore. How much time has passed? Caitlyn at some point says it has been months of peacekeeping occupation. Which would have happened after Zaun was conqurered which would have also taken time. We see Cait placing a lamp at the memorial and "Batman" also revering the mural with Ekko on it now... It is fair to say that was an anniversary tribute, for both the disappearance of Ekko and the attack on the Memorial. It would also make that day a significant risk for a Zaun uprising, which is what Sevika and Co. were planning when the raid happened. So by money is on 1 year.

AFAIK one of the writers semi-officially mentioned a time frame of 3-6 months. But the point is: it's not important how much time exactly has passed and we can get a good feeling for it just by following the show closely and taking note of changes or off-handed comments like the one you mentioned. @@midnight1672 Your point about show-don't-tell has been demonstrated to be true several times in the show, so your statement is perfectly safe. The second season is just a bit too free with the unannounced time jumps. After a few re-watches everything clicks so much better as I now know where the time skips are, like the 5+ day time jump after Jayce's big powwow at the council chamber where they are evacuating the city using the hex gates for as long as possible until Ambessa's reinforcements from her remaining holdings show up via ship. That explains why Jayce hadn't begun decommissioning the hex gates until the attack began, he was evacuating as many as possible, even though he knew running wasn't possible. He was saving as many as he could, in case he succeeded.

Vander being Warwick (yes, a champion in LoL) was seeded in the first season, even to non-LoL audience -- there was also the little tease of Singed's status at the end of S1 where we see Vander's body in his lab. (I know, it was 3 in real life years, so little things get forgotten). For LoL players, Warwick's backstory and voice lines in the game hinted at Vander. In the show, Vander sounded wolf-like when Shimmered out, and there's even a very similar music sting that is reminiscent of some kf Warwick's cues.

Just because you didn't see it coming it doesn't mean the Vander/Warwick plotline came from nowhere or is even new. They've been teasing this since the first season's finale, though in a subtle way (they showed Singed, the scientist, working on a big body the likes of Vander's in the final montage/sequence during Jinx' attack on the council - one could wonder then if it was just a misdirect, but the seed was planted nevertheless) - give it some more thought and you might catch it in hindsight. ;) Cheers!

That is also honesty my read on this. And it's definitely up to debate how satisfying this is gonna be for the general audience. Because I feel people who have already knowledge of the general lore don't really see a lot of the things brought up as "loose ends" which at least to me seems like they're overloading a the threads of the show a bit. Especially when the first season was very easily digestible for people who have no familiarity with league of legends. But I guess we'll see once the final episode of season 2 hits and once we know what fortiche's next project is. I am not sure was confirmed that fortiche is also doing the next show in the style of arcane? I think it was but I am not fully sure.

In season 1 they introduced the raw, arcane magic from the start. They even show a "seed" that looks like the sphere Jace encountered and called a wild rune destroying an entire city. The blue orbs are fashioned out of arcane rune magic that Jace found a way to make into solid matter with his research. This, is a big plotline in the first chapter of season 1, where Jace and Viktor are forbidden from magic research but continue anyway and find a way to convert rune magic into a more industrial, mechanized form of magic in Hextech. The pivotal scene where they accomplish this involves a machine that is using runes in various permutations to get wild magical energy into a stable state. So, it's always been that chaotic and almost-sentient arcane magic underpins Hextech. Jace just arrogantly ignored all warnings and thought that he had it under complete control even though the show establishes in the first three episodes of season 1 that it's not controllable in the long-term. Also, they show Silco's mad scientist doctor experimenting on a large body strung up on chains in his lab in season 1 as well.

The show is much simpler than Nerdy is trying to make it out to be. The revolution adds colour to the interpersonal relationships that the show has *always* been about, but is itself not that important. It's just the setting - it sets the stage and keeps the world moving, but exists primarily to cause conflict in the personal stories being told. Episode 2-5 and 2-6 make this perfectly clear, but the entire first season already did. S1 starts with a failed revolution. Zaun rises up and gets beat down all the time. Nobody has ever been interested in truly fixing that, so Caitlyn's reflections after being Oppressor-in-Chief for a year of 'Are we the baddies?' might result in finishing what was started in season one and giving Zaun independence, and it might not. It's never been as important to the writers (and probably most watchers) as the questions of 'Will Vi and Jinx reconcile?', 'Will someone save Mel?', 'Will Vi and Caitlyn reconcile' , 'Will Jayce and Viktor reconcile'. and now 'Can Vander be saved?'

One, this was set up in the end of Season 1, where you can see Vander's corpse hanging in the background of the last shot of Singed. Two, kinda wtf at the "So is Silco alive too?" like this death didn't have consequences. Even if Vander was his old self and not a murderous monster, there would still be the consequences that consisted of everything bad that has happened and will happen past episode three. Jinx and Vi, and Piltover and Zaun, split directly because he was killed. Bringing him back over a decade later when the city is teetering between fascism and complete ruin doesn't fix any of that. Consequence free deaths suck and they're bad writing, but not every resurrection falls I to that category.

People who know the lore realized Vander being Warwick from season 1 episode 1 when he was called "The Hound of Underground". Also Arcane is the final of this region's story. There will be more shows to come from this universe. And they, highly likely, will have some connections to this series. There are 8-9 regions in Runeterra(Name of the continent).

Not sure you quite grasp Caitlyn's agenda here. She never jumped on the "Zaun bad" bandwagon, but her entire intent was to get rid off Jinx as the perpetrator of chaos and violence in her eyes, particularly through her attack against the Council and the Death of her mother. Thing is that failed when she was full of hot rage which forced her into this time jump long military operation against Zaun and she sees no way out because Jinx went off the grid. She never targeted Zaunites for being Zaunites, she is tired because that is precisely what she never wanted to do. That is why she wanted to take Vi and a small task force and go after Jinx directly: Prevent an all out war and occupation. Which is what she now has with no clue what to do about Jinx. Her aim was to always keep it to a targeted and limited affair, but ended up in a quagmire and shoved into the leadership position responsible for it to boot because Piltover did not accept anything less anymore.

To answer Nerdy's question. Yup the wolfman is a character from the game. (He looks a bit different there. His face is much more wolf like). And he was actually teased by the showrunners in Episode 1 of Season 1 and Episode 9. When Vander is called "Hound of the Underground" by the 2 "traders" and in Episode 9 during the rocket sequence when they show the scientist and we have a werewolf like being hanging on the ceiling. In regards to season 2 so far I think they would have done well to go for a third season. (if they had the option to do so. But who knows if there was a hard budget cutoff) Or the writers felt confident that they can tell the story they want in 18 episodes (Total) and then move onto different characters. Though I personally think the show suffers currently from wanting to cram too much into it. When Season 1 aired Riot's official stance was "The lore in Arcane is a "What if" scenario. It's inspired by the official lore but everything that happens in the show is not considered canon." But around a year later Riot announced a new plan. Because they had a couple of indie game releases that told specific stories like Arcane they made the decision instead of being confusing and having this multiverse of plotlines they wanna streamline things. So from the point of announcement they said: Everything coming out that has league of legends in the name is now considered officially canon and that their writers are already working on it behind the scenes. So basically all the events happening in Arcane are now part of original world (While they have to rewrite part of the original world to make everything fit together). And I think with that decision they got a bit overzealous in wanting to include cool world details into the show. Like "the grey" example. It's part of the already established lore so they were looking for a way to include it but overall it didn't really have much of an impact except for some cool visual sequences in the show. And there are a couple of more things sprinkled throughout which feel like information overload for people who have zero league of legends lore knowledge. But we'll see how they manage to wrap it up. I hope they stick the landing.

That's what the scene with the guy being turned into a blast shadow and Ambessa lamenting that the day her daughter was taken, all the scientists would could crack Hextech disappeared as well (Jayce, Viktor, Heimerdinger). The monster smashes the door at the top, drop down in the elevator shaft (that's the sound you heard, the monster falling on to the elevator ceiling, and previously you can heard he climbing down the chains), smash the elevator ceiling, and then the doors.

I'm reasonably confident at least the main story plot lines will have been resolved in a satisfying way by the end of season 2 since the whole story arc for season 1 and 2 had been written before season 1 aired. That is to say: they didn't do the Lost thing where they started without knowing how they meant to end the story. That doesn't mean they won't leave a few loose threads to continue seeing as they may have other shows set in the same world that they can tease at with Arcane of course.

From season one we are told that Singed took Verder's dead body and began experimenting with it, what we see during the second season is the resolution of his experiments which the result is Warwick, a fusion between the two wolves that we saw and the selling body. There is one kind of magic: runes. It has unpredictable and often negative side effect when over used (wild runes), and scientist analyzed it to try make its effect replicable by non-mages (Hextech). Also, By definition, a figurehead is a pawn, powerless.

She is right , this episode was actually quite slow compared to the first 3. Basically this episode was about Jinx becoming the leader of Zaun ( Instead of Vi) . They let you breathe by focusing more jinx , bringing back some humanity in her. And bringing back Vander is probably meant to bring the sisters back together.. The pacing seems to be fast if you compare it to other shows, but Arcane have had this fast pacing from the beginning if you think about. its their style. they skip a lot of what other shows would make a whole season about. Part of it is because they want to move on to other stories in their universe , which is huge.

You gotta understand, yes Arcane is ending, but this is only the beginning for televised league shows. So while some main stories might get wrapped up, some characters/stories they introduce play into other parts of the league universe too. So there could very well be some things that lead into another show. “Spin offs” as you will.

There's definitely a lot of different storylines going on and in a lot of ways it reminds me of Stranger Things. Where there were A LOT of different characters doing their own thing until they all came together at one point for one big finale. There were characters in that show that died and came back too. I know they plan on expanding the League universe so there might be some open ended storylines, but as a league fan, the ending of this show doesn't stop anything for me. There're still tons of stories and character shorts you can read up on and watch. I just hope they are able to successfully wrap up jinx and VI's story. I do want to know what's going on with Anbessa too

About the discussion of how Cait and Vi would work, I have an opinion I think makes a lot of sense Vi is not a top at all. She is a brat. Pushes and teases but she is always the one being vulnerable and needing care (except when Cait's mom had literally died yesterday), and Cait cares for her and takes initiative when it matters.

I wish you would stop acting like Mel and Jayce's survival is bad writing when they show is clearly hinting at a mysterious reason for it. Jinx doesn’t have any authority, she isn’t the leader of the revolution, she is only their symbol. That’s why whenever she shows and says “It’s me!” no one knows who she is (except for the chembarons). The show is also going at a breakneck speed, most of it done through flashy montages. Like Caitlyn never says a word to Maddie, on screen. Maddie’s just one member of the shock team (despite being a total noob) and then all of a sudden they’re lovers. Those other two members of the shock team aren’t even named on screen. If you compare the Vander shock trooper’s development to Huck’s, by this point in the story of S1 we knew a lot more of Huck’s personality and motivation. While the story and animation teams are doing a phenomenal job,trying to tell this much story in two seasons is just a disservice.

Yes the Wolf is a OG playable character on League of Legends game. It name is “Warwick” - The Hound of Zaun. On Season 1 when Vander was introduced n called “The Hound of Zaun" people freaked out because we never knew the human experiment was the Father of Vi n Jinx. At the end of S1 the after credits was the doctor/scientist healing himself with shimmer but in the background u could see a human hanging in the air with that metal hand/claws. Warwick is a monstrous creature from the undercity of Zaun, depicted as a werewolf-like being with mechanical enhancements, who hunts through the dark alleys of the city, driven by a primal rage and a relentless pursuit of blood.🩸 This is a short cinematic less than 2min long of Warwick that doesn’t spoil a thin, is just him hunting humans on the deeps of Zaun. I would also like to add in the cinematics for the Wild Rift, Warwick when out of the blood fever/lust looks down at gods claws and does the exact same body gestures as Vander after displacing with Deckard during the climax of S1E3 when Vander was in front of Vi one gathering himself he shouts, “Silco!” I noticed no one seems to mention it.

I agree with Clarus that the writing in season one implies the writers know what they are doing, and how they will end it. However, despite that logic, I do feel the same as Jansport, I am nervous if they can tie it all up in a satisfactory way.

OMG....2:20 so I know this is an "old" vid but And I wanted to make a comment. I went on this whole "Brain Symphony" and it came down to Clarus is Mikasa from Attack on Titan. Your role is support (backpack) because of the world we live in, BUT the "fandom" (I dont wanna call it a fandom idk what else to use for it though) leans more towards the Mikasa even though Aaron is the main protag. So yea Aaron maybe SHOULD be the backpack but because the the story (world) its flipped. Oh also ive only watch 2 seasons of AOT so, again LIMIT KNOWLEDGE. You both have understanding of writing so you both make good predictions but it seems like Nerdy might go I little TOO far/convoluted with his theories and when Clarus gives the more "Occam Razor" answer its correct. Not to say this doesnt happen in reverse because again yall both understand writing. And sometimes it seems like Clarus holds back a reaction or thought, so that goes into why she would think she's the back and why Nerdy would say "Oh you dont read the comments" cause the comments might be saying "Nerdy, Clarus was right about 'x' ect..." But again this is just from a random outsiders perspective, DISCLAIMER: Again this just a RANDOM THOUGHT. Ive only recently found this channel I haven't watch videos the whole way through so idk.
