The final boss of Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree. Radahn, Consort of Miquella is the final main story boss and one of the hardest bosses in the game if not the Hardest. Malenia vs Radahn who is the harder boss. Many believe this boss to be too difficult and unfair. After many many deaths I finally show you how to easily defeat Consort Radahn (it is not actually easy). How to beat Radahn guide without cheese. Consort Radahn boss fight gameplay and some memes and funny moments. Title is not serious and more making fun of the community who beg for nerfs.

@@spectralassassin6030 well I’m considering finding impenetrable thorns spell to use. I expect it’s been nerfed or you need ridiculously high stat investment to do decent damage. I’ll have to see. I got to the t in consort a few times and once I got to the n in his name but got walloped by his five hit combo flashing lights with cross slash thing. Mimic was still alive bless her and got a hit as I died. I would’ve taken it as a solid win even if the mimic finished him off as I died. Sadly not though.

Yeah, I also had technical issues in some areas and fights, Radahn included, but it was still playable. I'd say a bigger issue is screen clutter. All those special effects and the camera make it hard to understand what's happening in some situations.

For anyone struggling - Shield/thrusting sword is basically the meta for this fight (although not the only way to win...) Bleed and rot are by far his biggest weaknesses, antspur rapier+Blood affinity will do both ;)

I ended up beating it by playing Sekiro style and using the deflecting tear. Worked so well I wonder how I lived without it. That being said it took me about 5 days of about an hour each session to do so.

I'm using a blend of bloody helice and deflecting tear What tips do you have for phase 2? I'm using a regular medium shield (I think it's the best balance of fun and feeling earned), and the light beams absolutely kill me even if I'm doing like 2k every Guard Counter (that I land) I can also use Dynast's finesse which I usually use for his Gravity Crash and his sword splits (because my shield block usually pushes me back)

@@drabulusdael9329 I guess it depends on your playstyle, but I was above level 200 when I got to him, 60 vigor, 20 mind, 60 endurance, and a mix of high strength low dex and whatever for int or faith. I also had the double turtle talisman, the dragon greatshield physical talisman, the gold braid talisman, then for the physick, I used the opaline and the deflecting. Pick the heaviest armor you can and that's about it. Basically a really tanky build but also very stamina efficient.

The thing about his second phase is that it's so easy to lose yourself mentally once you get hit by a holy follow-up attack. It's like it causes you to stumble and fall especially paired with the fact that it's hard to see. Once you conquer that/see it enough times, it gets so much easier.

A lot of phase 2 seems to be built to intimidate and make people panic, and I think it's working lol. The clones are scary, but don't do much damage and don't stunlock you into the real hit that does do a lot of damage. The light beams punish getting scared and rolling away from him. You gotta stay on him. You can't back off and heal, you need to find a gap in his offense and decide if you want to use it to attack or heal. Sometimes you can even get away with healing right in his face.

My favorite boss in the DLC right next to Midra. I always wanted to fight prime Radahn he's really cool. The holy attack reverb at first felt hopeless but when you realize that you have to stay close to him and keep moving around him it helps a lot. His clones barely do damage they are there just to pressure and make you panic just like the holy reverb. Unlike other bosses his idle window is VERY small so you have to be on your toes and do your best not to panic. If you learn his patterns you'll find spots where you can heal. Sometimes even in front of him. My favorite details in this fight is if you get your heart stolen Radahn actually lowers his swords and he can't be attacked anymore (Through summons or spirits). Another one is when you defeat Radahn Miquella hugs him tightly. If something had to changed with this boss fight I'd want the big nuke attack to not kill frame rate and NOT completely turn the screen white I think that's the only visual mess in this fight. Everything else is fine.

This is one of the easiest boss fights I had in Elden Ring.. took me just 5 attempts. You just need Miquella's Great Rune to cancel his instant death grab move, Fingerprint Stone Shield to either negate or completely negate most of his attacks as long as you have stamina left, Antspur Rapier with any blood ash of war...to inflict blood loss and Scarlet Rot on him at the same time (he is weak to both). Just hold your shield up and keep on thrusting like mad with the Rapier while keeping an eye at your stamina bar (Rapiers allow you to shield guard and attack at the same time!!).. then before your stamina runs out that will make the shield ineffective.. simply back away and let it recover..then approach him again...everytime he grabs and puts a mark on you..back off and use Miquella's Great Rune to cancel it... mimic helps to distract him as you back away to recover your stamina.. the Two-Headed Turtle Talisman helps a lot here for stamina recovery as well as the Greatshield Talisman to make sure your shield guard won't break. Having high vigor is needed to survive shield blocking his meteor attack and heal as quick as possible

It’s so good watching people try beating this boss after finally finishing the DLC. For everyone out there who struggle with meteor attack in 2nd phase: strafe and jump the meteors, block 4 teleporting strikes, dodge 5th to the side and dodge AOE after delay. Works every time and you can punish.

If you run away far enough while he's shooting meteors at you, the first 4 teleport attacks don't even reach you. Still have to dodge the fifth and the AOE followup though.

I got to him at about 11:30pm Sunday Night and needed to be at work at 7:00 am the next day. I'm ashamed to say it but I just immediately threw on the fingerprint shield and antspur rapier and cheesed him hard lol. I was running a Strength/Faith build already so I didn't even need to respec. I'm leveling a new character to beat all the bosses without any shield use this time as penance. Pray for me.

My biggest issue is that I managed to get in and get him 3/4 of the way down but then went bonkers on my ass. Feeling good I tried again. Entered and rang my mimic bell and he hit me straight away. He then killed me on a second blow. This happened 5 times on the trot. Wouldn't let me dodge, run, jump or plead for help. Tbh the first phase is easy enough unless you enter and he's pissed off like he was with me. It did make me wonder if the bosses have a win percentage that only allows you to win when they say so.

I had to use scarlet rot bolts and ice dragon breath for the first phase. Second was just me constantly narrowly dodging his beam then using barricade shield to survive his onslaught of attacks. Knight Artorias build btw on NG+7. Took me around 70ish tries. Miyazaki definitely took the “ER is too easy” reviews to heart ☠️.

The lack of lifesteal also helps a lot, you don't feel like you lose ground just cause you made a mistake. It becomes a war of attrition, and he does take decent damage assuming you're in the 18-20 blessing range.

I come back and start a new game for DLC before the DLC is out. I though I can kill Malenia easily but I can't. It take me 4 days to finish her. But Radahn, the fight is very hard but his move is much more predictable, I mean he won't go to passive mode that wait for your attack and counter attack with waterfowl like Malenia.

@@leonlai8270 yup, the issue with malenia is she keeps slowwalking in phase 1 so trying to fight her from further away to avoid waterfowl takes forever, you can instead be point blank all the time but then her attacks are far harder to dodge. She feels best to fight at mid distance where you can run in bait an attack and dodge/outdistance her attacks, but then you have no way to dodge waterfowl, as no strat works mid distance, as far as I know.

there's so many issues with so many bosses in this dlc. main ones are no punish windows, vfx obscuring telegraphs so you can't learn the moveset without insane time investment and the fact that once in a blue moon the shitboxes will cuck you in a milisecond and all your progress is undone.

Good news lolhound if you ever want to play the DLC on a higher NG+ cycle it doesn’t go up in difficulty it’ll stay the exact same as when you first played it due to it having its own separate difficulty and leveling system. I found this out by playing and beating the DLC on every NG+ cycle (beat the final boss in 5 attempts or less guaranteed on every NG+ cycle btw) and I killed the first ghost flame dragon you come across in the DLC with the gold scarab on and it gave me about 96,000 runes everytime and its damage never changed

Are you sure about this? When I look on fextralife, they have a table listing the HP for the DLC bosses and it's higher for each level of NG. It doesn't say anything about damage going up, but it looks like HP does. I started the DLC at NG+7 and level 611 and still got my ass handed to me by everything. Finally beat Consort Radahn today. I know I'm not good at the game at all, but I'd also like to think that it was as hard as it was due to being in NG+7.

Defeated him with 99 endurance and light rolls. After that just use holy talisman maxx defence, dragon great shield defense , double holding sword talisman augment talisman and max equipment load augmentation talisman. Wear the best armour possible to have physical defense, slash defense and holy defense at 70.000. Brandish the gates great sword and git gud. Was level 236 btw.

That 3 slash attack he does, won’t lie first time saying this about any kind of souls game, the 3 slash attack he does needs to be reworked or fixed. Unlike Malenia to where the key to dodge he “unavoidable” waterfall dance was to lock of, his three hit move is LITERALLY and actually unavoidable. You can dodge the first one, you can dodge the second one, but it’s a pick your poison because ur going to get hit by one of them regardless of what the fuck you do. A boss like this doesn’t need a move like that. He already does half your health, he already is fast as fuck and now you mean to tell me I have to play gambit with him to decide what hand I want to get smacked with and then forced to heal regardless

man you should just use bloodfiends arm probably one of the best and most busted weapons in the game now its insanely good poise damage against any boss can then stagger any boss not kidding and the bleed prock on this weapon is nuts it can prok on a boss after like three heavy attacks and would do massive poise damage too I love this weapon lol

It took me 81 attempt. I was finally able to beat him with a very effective strategy. I Summoned another player to help me who had that new great shield and they shield poked while hit him the back. Also Sir Ansbach was there.

Get the fingerprint stone shield maxed out and put no skill ash of war on it. Get you a spear with high bleed maxed out and hold up the shield and poke him to death. Me and my friends killed him first try in my world lol

I beat him without mimic, bcoz radhan always killed my mimic easily. Learnt the moveset and be patient not to greedy, using shield and bleed weapon and beat him after like 40 tries. Was using all the defensive and stamina relics.

I used a Blood Sword Lance and poked him to death. You can add a shield if you need it. He is weak to pierce, blood and rot. So just keep that in mind and you will be fine.

As a faith caster I did what I meant to do, summon spirit ash and become the healer. I beat Radahn by putting scarlet rot on him while letting my pokemon take all the damage and constantly healing it. Am I proud of that? Absolutely because a win is a win and it still took me hours to make it work. Sometimes thinking outside of the box is smarter than banging against the wall until it cracks.

I feel that phase 1 is perfectly fair. He hits hard and punishes getting greedy. He has a couple major windows for some attacks, even charged heavy attacks. Phase 2 is perfectly manageable outside of not being able to see. I wish his attacks were a little more telegraphed and that we could actually see what the telegraph was. Specifically his image attacks. They can be so brutal. I did beat him solo though. It's doable, but I really wish I could see more.
