the reason why the trigger is so large is because its doing two functions at once, its a automatic springer, so it has to release the air to fire the vulcan and move other components to the gun.

Allways good to see some Vulcan love, a classic blaster that should return sometime in the future like the stampede and magstrike
@fortyeth2 жыл бұрын
Hello there, I am fairly new to the Nerfing hobby but I'm also very lucky. I am UK based and we don't have as many Thrifting stores as over in the USA/Canada but one day my wife texted me saying she'd seen some type of Nerf blaster in a Salvation Army thrift shop (in a local village). It turned out to be a compete Havok-Fire (belt, ammo box and tripod) for £16! ($19). I bought it quick and felt very lucky...but it gets better. It turns out that whilst I was browsing Ebay a week later, there was another Havok-Fire for the same price - but this one was from a seller in my own town! I could have walked to collect it. Anyway I bought it and am now a proud owner of TWO Havoks and they are fantastic fun as you point out. Great video and thanks.
@TesserasNerfRoom2 жыл бұрын
That’s absurd lol, although I’m not too surprised since the Havok Fire was primarily released in the UK and never actually made its way to the US unless someone ordered it overseas.

I bought one, the internal gear for the advance mech was broke, had to buy a new one and tear it's guts out. Bought a clear one I found for a good price incase I couldn't get the yellow one to work. Got the part in the mail, put it in, and now, like you I have both and they both work.

The Vulcan holds a place next to my heart. Whenever my friends would come over we would do the annual nerf war, and my friend brought a Vulcan. I was so jealous, and I wanted one. I’m going to buy one on eBay and put afterburner flywheels on it, and take out the air r stricter.
@lysist Жыл бұрын
You know it is a springer, right? The stampede also worked off a mechanically operated plunger tube. It's hard to add flywheels to that system
@Jwoll944 Жыл бұрын
@@lysist Well sir, you do know it’s belt fed, right? Who doesn’t want a belt fed nerf gun?

I got a fully working Vulcan from a Hope Chest thrift store. It's missing all of the attachments, including the belt. Currently, I have ordered a belt and a ammo box, and I'm thinking of completing the set. Took me a while how to set off the motorized part without the belt, so I thought it doesn't work, but it was just me being oblivious. The bolt occasionally doesn't prime on mine, which is unusual.

Got one yellow today at an Alabama thrift store far from home. 5 dollars and 30% with military discounts was a bit much for only just the blaster, no corrosion, and no box etc. Getting the chain today, and D batteries too.

The Vulcan is amazing and can have decent performance stock. I took a clear green one to a stock nerf war and dominated the rounds I used it in. I also have a white out Vulcan that performs just as well range wise as any modern stock blaster. The only stock blaster I have that noticeably out performs it is my elite rayven that fires at 78 fps.
@TesserasNerfRoom2 жыл бұрын
Nice! I don’t know how well spring upgrades could work for the Vulcan considering it’s automated, but I have a feeling just that alone could get this blaster punching upwards of 80s and 90s

Firing a vulcan empty just to listen to it and shooting a stock dart onto the top of a 3 story building with a hammercock because there was a contest to see how high your gun could shoot (rest assured, I won ;) ), are the nerf moments of my childhood.
@B19_choppa Жыл бұрын
I'd recommend you a dart zone dartstorm if you really like the Vulcan because this thing has much better performance and capacity, but I don't really like it's look and the rate of fire is not so fast.
@TesserasNerfRoom Жыл бұрын
I've seen the dartstorm, I just passed on it because I could tell it'd be one of those things that I play with for about an hour, then get bored of and go back to my rapidstrike
