Yeah, you get the idea. Don't get me wrong, I turn up the volume if something off Kill 'Em All or Ride The Lightning comes on the radio. I love Black Sabbath, Sepultura, SOaD, all that shit is cool. But I also appreciate the Ramones inspired sound of punk, because it has a sense of humor. Modern metal just feels sorry for itself. It's more "Emo" than the so-called Emo bands are themselves.

I'm jes fuckin with ya. ProudAnselmo is an arbitrary handle based on an inside joke. It has nothing to do with Phil. I'm a little too old for Pantera these days. It was fun when I was a pot smoking kid with no responsibilities and no real idea of how the world works, and I can look back and laugh at those days now. Still, Dimebag rest in peace.

The lyrics are making fun of metal. The pop/punk sound is great because they put the fun back in rock. Metal takes itself WAY too seriously. Every song is all "Boo Hoo, I had a bad childhood and now I want to yell and cry about it". Metal is for pansies. Yep, I said it.

To me it's like they're almost making fun of the culture of metal. I mean ya it's funny, but it seems some what contradictive. In the song they talk about how much they love metal, but also they kinda make fun of Slayer, Ozzy, and Pantera. Then they also contradict themselves about punk, because this is somewhat of new wave punk pop, and definetley a Ramones influence. I think in reality they're making fun of Pantera. Which is not cool, they should go make real music.
