This has to be a dream of every nerf enthusiast . I cant stress how close this blaster in comparison to firing a real steel firearm and im extremely impressed by how well it executes the comparability. Really wished i could afford for myself .

That was the goal, to make it as close to the real thing as appropriate. The 1911 was used as the primary reference.

@@ManicQuinn The reason it looks so Desert Eagle is because the design was easier to implement. I would've wanted it to look more like a 1911's profile, but it was simply more difficult to design to work. I personally do not like the look of the Desert Eagle, but it was what was necessary.

This almost feels like dart blasters are evolving the same way real guns are, this thing is VERY similar in a lot of ways to the original colt M1911 even the capacity 7 rounds and for all we know this pistol will revolutionize pistols in this hobby just like how the colt revolutionized the real gun world while being almost the same gun.

This isn't really gonna revolutionize much, though. There isn't gonna be a massive part of the hobby up in arms about it aside from the 'cool' factor. The shells are more of a gimmick and it's hard to see them making waves. Like, this could have been done a long time ago, there's a reason it took so long.

@@KittenchaosYT That is not what they were getting at. They were not saying that dart blasters are suddenly going to fire real and live rounds. It's the very much same as people saying that you "shoot" at someone with a dart blaster like what... that sounds so aggressive and like you are about to kill someone. You fling foam darts, not shoot them... Anyways that is really off-topic. James is just fascinated by the blowback system in this particular dart blaster, and to be fair he should be. I have not seen a dart blaster with such blowback system at all myself and I like it. The shell casings for the foam darts is a gimmick, but it is really cool. Might work better off as a prop instead of a performance blaster, you won't take this to the field and expect to win. I am all for the blowback system, it looks really cool and having an actual feedback of you flinging that foam dart out of your blaster is satisfying. I have used a blowback airsoft pistol that is gas operated and it feels amazing. Having that feedback is not essential, but it sort of reaffirms that "Yes, you did indeed pull the trigger and that airsoft bb has travelled out of the barrel". Having the slide come back like that, and with the sound of the gas escaping is just so satisfying. It is not revolutionary by any means, but it for sure is really cool.

You forgot to show that you have to pull the slide back when loading a new mag. As some one who got a working prototype months ago, I can tell you that they have made some vast improvement on the asthetic looks of it. By the way, I have used it in various wars and I can also tell you that it actually has a lot more FPS then your chrono is going to show you. It could be because of the nature of the trigger pull and force of the blow back. I don't know but I used it as my primary in several wars and it just shredded. Its not going to have the same FPS as a calburn but still its fun and actually more effective than I thought it would.

The reason why it didn't fire the first time was because you didn't chamber the first round. It was still on the mag. Real guns have the same problem where you have to pull back the slider/bolt handle/pump/lever to chamber a new round after you reload from empty. IDK if you can pull the slider back on this blaster, but it would be worth a try.

You don't need to fire 2 times in the beginning. You simply have to slide back the slider one time so it gets chambered. Like an actual gun would. PS. Just press the "very stiff" trigger and the dart will blast the same time as the casing will eject.

They need to make one of these that shoots small foam rounds like a .45 acp or 9mm. Then you can double the magazine capacity. 7 is a real pain and those shell casings are probably the size of .50 AE...which is very large
