Buy on Amazon: amzn.to/1EevREv (aff.link)
UPDATE: In Case the Amazon Link is SOLD OUT, I have put together a very similar kit which includes all of the same items for basically the same price.... (Note: These are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, I may earn a commission on eligible purchases made through my links at no cost to you.) Check it out:
2 Efest IMR 14500 700mAh batteries: ebay.us/Kqmqkf (eBayPartner link)
2 NiteCore IMR 14500 650mAh batteries: ebay.us/bT8gQ3 (eBayPartner link)
2 AA Dummy Batteries: amzn.to/3YkVxKf
AA to C Size Battery Converters (for use with Rapidstrike): amzn.to/3x4Tluj
More Expensive High Quality Battery Converters Option: amzn.to/1kxSryE
Universal Battery Charger: amzn.to/3JTxUUU
And there you go, there's this kit! Since DormLabs does not keep a good stock or supply of this kit, I have provided links to purchase everything separately. It should be about the same price. I have provided two different options for the AA to C Battery Adapter, you don't have to buy both. Buy everything listed above and you'll be golden.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It happens to the best of us and it even happened to me! I ran out of batteries right in the middle of a Nerf War! My Rapidstrike CS-18 was completely dead and I couldn't do anything about it! Watch what can happen to you if you let your Nerf blasters batteries die while in battle. Be careful! It could happen to anybody! Afterwards, I vowed that I would never let that happen again! Luckily, Dorm Labs gifted me with this pretty sweet High Voltage Battery Mod Kit for Nerf Guns, featuring a couple of high powered IMR batteries. So check out the video and see me do an unboxing and review of this drop in kit from Dorm Labs. You'll be able to see a before and after firing test of my Rapidstrike CS-18 and my prep work and installation of the kit in between. I'm sure you won't be disappointed! Thanks for watching!

I bought some high power batteries for my stryfe before I short-circuited it, and they made the thing shoot a max of 115 fps (for real) and when I broke it and replaced with rapidstrike (i shorted it by trying to install full auto mod so might aswell buy a full auto blaster) I thought I wasted my money. I dunno HOW i never thought of a BATTERY CONVERTER, but technically you saved the 10 bucks I spent on the batteries. Thanks so much!!!

If I'm being honest, I didn't run these batteries for long -- I wanted to give people another option, but I like to do full re-wires and use LiPo's. Only 2 IMR batteries should do just fine, though.

+Nerf Gun Attachments Excuse me? I would like to ask a question about this pack, I heard a rumour that it can burn out the motor. I was considering buying the pack once I get a rapidstrike which is hopefully soon, can you please answer it for me? If you do, because of the AMAZING video I WILL subscribe
@Bleenga
@Bleenga 8 жыл бұрын
Well, I haven't had any problems with mine and I've just revved it continuously with and without firing. Plus, it's only using 2 IMR batteries. Motor burnouts usually occur with 4 or more batteries. Lots of people use 3 batteries and their blasters are fine. So, I think 2 batteries like this should be fine. No guarantees, though. It's always "Mod at your own risk." Also, you can hit that subscribe button now. Haha

I couldn't find the kit, but all of the parts are available online (Amazon, EBay etc ). The battery charger and dummy batteries took 3 months for me to get. +ericchia23 I'm not sure of the exact voltage that these should be recharged, but if you're using a meter, try not to let the batteries fall below 3.6v. However, just make sure to recharge them as soon as you notice the performance of your blaster start to degrade substantially.
@ericchia23

Thanks for the reply.. So not less then 3.6v during idle? Not load voltage right? Cause I use on stryfe and fired about 40 rounds continuely and the blaster Rev slow down. However after resting the blaster I measure the voltage it still 4.2 or 8.4v.

Hey there. No internal mods were necessary for this to work. Lots of stock Nerf blasters can run higher voltage batteries straight out of the box, but only if you use the right amount. Some blasters won't work if you put in 3 batteries or they'll burn out the motors quickly. 2 batteries is the sweet spot.

what if you use the duracal instead of the dummy batterys
@Bleenga
@Bleenga 8 жыл бұрын
+littleman 209 I don't think it's a good idea to mix lithium batteries and regular alkalines... I've heard there's a huge risk with overheating, leaking, or rupturing batteries. Plus, it won't offer any advantage. The two IMR batteries here are enough to amp up your performance. Any more and I think you'd have to remove the resistors/thermistors and rewire your blaster anyway.

Nope,it will burn (I tried 9.6v then burned but still work with 6v) I’m sure this guy’s cs18 burned after the video for using stock blaster with high voltage battery but you can use 3.7v x 2 with 2 fake battery
@Bleenga
@Bleenga Жыл бұрын
I'd really only recommend using stock batteries unless you do a re-wire. A re-wire is pretty easy to do if you watch a good guide or sub to my channel -- I'm gonna be doing a lot of modding soon. And then you can use any IMRs or a LiPo. My Rapidstrike never burned out, but I didn't use this kit constantly. But with only 2 IMRs and 2 dummy batteries you should be fine. No need for 3

@Bleenga
@Bleenga 8 жыл бұрын
I'm not as familiar with the specs on those. Looks like it comes with 3 high voltage batteries, while this kit only comes with 2. However, on most blasters, I believe when you add 3 IMR batteries, it needs some kind of rewire or thermistor bypass, at the least. This kit was good because it just dropped in and you didn't have to worry about anything. BUT, this kit is apparently indefinitely sold out. SO, I'd suggest buying the pieces individually as I've listed in the description, which should be about the same price this kit retailed for. That way you could buy as many IMR's and dummy batteries as you want and just mix and match. OR just buy the Blasterparts kit -- They make good stuff.

Nerf Gun Attachments thank you for the response. I have one more question if you don't mind, so I went with the imr's 14500. I am putting them in a Nerf rival Zeus, I only received 2 in the mail I was planning on putting 3 because I figured 2 would only be 7.4v, so I figured it wasn't enough voltage, so I installed 2 efest imr's 700mah and the Zeus hits way harder then with six c batteries do you know why that is? if 2 imr voltage is Less then 6 c battery voltage thank you
@KekusMagnus
@KekusMagnus 7 жыл бұрын
6C batteries form about 9V, but when you actually fire the blaster, its motors demand lot more power than the batteries can give it and so the voltage drops quite a lot. This is because regular alkaline batteries are too weak to power nerf motors, but Hasbro compensates for this by making you add more of them. Overpowering batteries like this reduces their lifespan but alkaline batteries are not rechargeable and most people will just buy more when they run out. High-discharge IRM batteries on the other hand are designed to output a lot of power and thus don't experience this voltage drop, and so when you fire them, they keep their voltage, which means you need less of them to deliver the same power as the large lot of alkalines you use by default. Also, 3.7 is a nominal voltage, as in it is the average safe voltage of the battery. Fully charged IMRs are around 4.2-4.3 volts, so two of them means you were running 8.4-8.6 volts, and without a voltage drop, this is actually quite a lot of power
@Izzys
@Izzys 8 жыл бұрын
you should buy another battery pack so u have four actual batteries instead of 2 real and 2 fake..imagine the power on that and if u do please make a vid
@Bleenga
@Bleenga 8 жыл бұрын
That would be cool, but it's not possible unfortunately. Using 4 batteries would actually most likely burn out the motors and effectively break your blaster. Lots of people use 3 batteries, but that requires fully modding your blaster. And that means removing all of the electrical locks and rewiring everything.

@brianlee2039
@brianlee2039 7 жыл бұрын
I under =stand that. However, I think the kits are slightly risky as the stock motors may overheat and may not be safe and may even ruin the blaster. I would rather do a normal mod- rewiring, restitching, replacing motors, 3s lipo pack
@Bleenga
@Bleenga 7 жыл бұрын
Doing a full rewire is always the best option, but that's not always an option for everybody. Some people don't feel comfortable working with soldering irons or electric wiring. This kit seems to be perfectly safe, though, and I've never encountered any issues, even using this setup in several blasters during different Nerf wars.

does anyone know if the kit works with the stampede?
@Bleenga
@Bleenga 8 жыл бұрын
+Seth Wood well this kit only comes with 2 IMR batteries, 2 dummy batteries,and 4 C sized battery sleeves... The Stampede needs 6 D sized batteries. But if you buy the separate pieces like I've linked to in the description for this video, and buy D sized battery spacer sleeves instead of C, it should work. But don't forget that when you increase the voltage, you'll also want to increase the spring power, too....

Nerf Gun Attachments $7 is not cheap. Dead batteries have the same function and is way cheaper
@Bleenga
@Bleenga 6 жыл бұрын
If you were already so sure about it, then why did you ask me? Dead batteries can still be dangerous. You're never supposed to mix battery chemistries. And how can you be sure the dead batteries are completely dead? Batteries, even dead ones, can leak and degrade over time. Dangerous stuff. Dummy batteries are just there to conduct the current, they pose no risk. Stop being cheap and buy some dummy batteries. Lol. PS - If you still want to be cheap, I'd recommend eBay. See here: ebay.to/2jjtUir

@Bleenga
@Bleenga 8 жыл бұрын
I wasn't able to find the exact batteries on Amazon. As for 700 vs 650 mAh, no that shouldn't matter much. Does it say 14500? And are they button top batteries?
@Minecraftpro694
@Minecraftpro694 8 жыл бұрын
I found some but they're not 700 mAh but 2000! Is that gonna burn out my motors or break something inside of my nerf? I know mAh is how long the battery lasts the voltage is 3.7 is that all that matters to increase the fir rate and mAh is just how long I'll be able to fire the blaster for ? I know there's a lot of questions but I don't want my rapid strike to just break on me and will the batteries work on my stryfe too?
@Bleenga
@Bleenga 8 жыл бұрын
Dylan C technically that's correct... but I dunno. I'm not sure you should risk it without a rewire... and then you should probably just get a Lipo battery. A big problem with Trustfires or IMR's is that companies make cheap knockoffs with labels that aren't accurate as far as voltage or mAh or whatever... Just buy the right batteries from eBay. Lol.

DOGE music TV did you use these ones | The ones he used in the video?
@LeoDDJ
@LeoDDJ 7 жыл бұрын
DOGE music TV: 11.1V are 3S (3 cell LiPo batteries). Nerf guns are meant for at most 6V. Running it on 2S (what he uses in the video) will only overvolt it to 7.4V, which is definitely more than the recommended 6V, but if you don't let the motors run too long without letting them cool in between, it shouldn't destroy the motors as you did with almost double (!!) the recommended voltage.
