In fact, his wish at the start was to be reborn to improve further, but people don’t magically start powerful, they become powerful as they age. So it would have been far better if she had a lot of knowledge of combat and magic (from past life experiences) but that her body would not be able to use all of it until he put in the work and trained it.

@@12tanuha21 because the more mastery one has over something be it fighting or woodworking the less the story can be about it and remain interesting unless its about the smallest details of said mastery like say having a story of a master sculpter being a master sculpter is boring unless you get into the nitty gritty as to why each statue is specifically important and the little details which make them special if you were instead to make a series about that same sculpter and simply make it about how much better they were then literally everyone else around them its simply no where near as interesting
