Synthwave* it's golden era (well, besides of the eighties, of course) was around the early 2010's. That's when Com Truise, Mitch Murder, Lazerhawk and the other big influencers got into the scene.

There is something about the 80s sound and aethetic that makes me very nostalgic, even though I was born in the 90s and never got to experience it.

Man, that scene with guys getting pulled over was deep. I don't know how, it looks simple, guy had a gun, guy made a move, cops jumped into action and shot the guys. But the way the cop looked after and the shift in music...it struck a core with me.

not really, isolate the vocals and the song sucks, the beat and sound itself has ALWAYS been the most powerful part of a song. Granted some songs have some amazingly powerful and poetic lyrics, these are outliers and more often than not you see that the melodies and rhythms themselves make the song.

I think the reason we feel so nostalgic towards 80s music is because that's what we listened to in the early parts of our childhoods, my parents for example listened to modern talking etc. a lot, maybe this music is just similar to what i used to hear as a little child.

I disagree. The 2010s created a new brand of trap music, a new culture through phones and social media, millenials are soon to be the adults in the world and word has it that gen Z is one of the most conservative generations since the 1920s. I love the 80s too but this decade has something to show for itself
