RTX4090 may technically be able to draw 450 watts, but it's actually super power efficient and capable of running D4 on ultra at stable 300 fps. It probably only pulls like 200 watt max at 150. And modern CPUs are just bored with that kind of workload. I recon the full system runs at a comfortable 400 Watt at this rate, no more than a medium PC that costs like a quarter as much. And at 60 fps the system is basically idle lol

Boiling point of water varies between 100C and 93C based on location and that is just averages. It also varies on with things like weather and the phase of the moon.

As someone who lives in a place that is normally cool-cold, I agree with Kronii that it's better to be in cold than heat. In cold you can warm yourself with jackets, sweaters and such, but what can you do in a hot environment? Even if you were naked, you would still be suffering , unless you live in the jungle with rivers around you where you can splash from time to time! More precisely, you hate hot wheather exactly cuz you're not used to it and it's not common there. There's a lot you can do in heat, your country is just not used to it and not aware/don't know the ways around it. Just as that argument you said about cold isn't applicable to me cuz my country isn't used to cold, so when it hits, we don't have infraesctructure for It to not be a bother (aka hearing and houses made of wood). It's the opposite to me. There's nothing much I can do against come except hate existence, wish to be dead, be sick 24/7 and no will/energy to do shit. I for one can't be directly at a fan all the time even in 38°C cuz I get headaches, allergy from he dust, and yes I can shiver even in that condition just just cuz of a fan, I lose heat way too fast and honestly don't need the AC that badly as others do in that condition. And the swear argument won't sway me cuz even in cold wheather I get sweaty under the piles of clothes that barely heat me up. Unless it's a Very VERY, desperatingly so, dry wheather

It actually highly depends on the humidity, because humidity directly affects your body's ability to cool itsself. In 100% humidity 6 hours of exposure to 35+ degrees can kill you while in 0% humidity you can survive 50 degrees just fine. This is also why global warming is such a big issue, higher humidity countries are Getting closer to that 35°

I've seen this before. A medium window AC unit plus a high-end gaming pc is more than enough to trip a 15A breaker in NA. Even if the breaker could handle the load it's not a good idea to have both plugged into the same room because of power surges whenever the AC compressor turns off. The sorta janky solution is to run a thiccc extension cord from another room that is on a different circuit.

That's what I'm thinking. It's likely a 1200 watt window unit. Then toss in a beefy PC that could easily be another 600-800 watts, and you're hitting up on the 15amp limit of the breaker.

It's likely a combination of a couple of things. In older homes, the electrical might be wired differently and have poor splitting. So the AC might be sharing the same circuit/breaker her PC is connected to. When the power draw exceeds the breaker's amp rating, it will trip. One solution is Kronii playing on a totally different circuit from the one her AC might be connected to. The UPS is essential to have, but it will not prevent the AC tripping the circuit. I can already imagine her surprise when she realizes her PC still shuts off when she runs her AC, and then she'll probably blame chat and gaslight us like usual; the endless cycle do be like that 😂 Seriously though, short of redoing her circuits (damn expensive) or moving to a different place, Kronii is likely stuck suffering in the summertime 😅

I wonder if her power is going off from tripping a breaker or lulling into dimming lights. The first can be fixed by having a breaker matching the maximum current capacity of the conductors(consideration of the conduits and more of course). To fix the hot clock problem. Use an extension cord to plug in the ac to a difference part of the house. You can tell if it’s on a different circuit but going to your breaker box and turning off and on the different Zones. If the ac cannot be unplugged try changing were you’re computer is plugged in. When looking for a proper extension cord use a low gauge number such as either a 12g or 8g depending on the distance to the next circuit zone. Andy your pc needs to be plugged in elsewhere your monitor should be fine unless there is a large load on your zone. And please use a ups if you can.

It is 100% better to be cold than hot. Because you can always throw on another layer to deal with cold. But you can only take off so much before it turns into indecent exposure in public, and until there's nothing left to remove in private.
