Maybe this is a hot take, but I do think the cinematic being a bit bland/filler is perfect for Ansurek's arc: she was given power, enablement and limelight. Only to fall short, used as an obstacle/vanguard for us to overcome, to realise she was just a disposed Pawn on Xal'atath's Chess board, and having a meaningless end when her forces failed. It's lackluster for us as watchers, yet thematically perfect for the character.

Well, Azshara is something else and if she helped N'zoth even after his liberation, event would have turned differently. Azshara is really strong and cunning. And N'Zoth need her or at least wanted her a his side. Because of that, he didn't wanted her to die. So yes the strong survive, either by their own, or because they are valuable and we still want them at our side alive. Ansurek on the other hand... Her value was, not enough. It's incomparable.
