I understand why so many people dislike this game (sliding, high difficulty) but I really loved it as a kid. The graphics and music were excellent, the game had many secret areas for you to discover and I really liked the fact that some npcs had to be captured or rescued. That made you feel like an actuall cop instead of a simple killing machine. I played all 3 robocop games for nes and this one was my favourite.

Yeah me too. I was such a massive Robocop fan as a kid, I'd get just about anything with the Robocop name on it. And I really liked this game, especially the shooting gallery stages. I'd deliberately not get enough Nuke each level just to play them.

Believe or not I still have the original cartridge of this game for the old school nintendo. Brings me back a lot of memories of frustration of trying to pass all of these levels as a 6-7yr old back in the day. After constantly playing this game for a very long time I managed to finish it. I have this game on my computer, I play it from time to time but nothing beats playing on the original console. Classic

Ah, I used to own this game. Hard as all Hell (but not as hard as Ninja Gaiden for example) but satisfying in its own way. Managed to beat it several times and seeing Robocop 2 retreat for the 3rd time was awesome. Good memories.

You can tell this is an Ocean game without seeing the Title Screen. This, Hook & Lethal Weapon had the same style score, ammo, lives etc menu to them. I had this & Hook as a Child. Loved them back then.

I was stuck in first stage for two days when I was six years old. I beated it more than ten times. But it didn't let me pass the first stage and made me play it again. Since then, I never played it again. And now I see why I couldn't pass the first stage. There was a secret passage to subterranean area I've never been aware of. Guess entering there was essential to beat the first stage.

That was a lazy final boss fight. Just the same fight against Cain...THRICE. The least they could've done is change the background as it transitions to the next round, or at the final round have Cain reveal his face as he fights Robocop, just like the final phase of the final boss fight of the Arcade version.

The game had impressive graphics back then, especially the title, mission briefing and tally screens. But what really pissed me off was the fricking sliding, why? Are they trying to piss off people? Other than that, a great game and I still have my original copy, box and all, much better than RoboCop 3.

@abcde 12345 I can tell you without trying that being 500 lbs and encased in metal would not make me slide around like I'm on ice, but it'd be quite the opposite; that's basic physics. What's more, it's clearly shown in the movie that Robocop, if anything, has a labored walk, none too agile. He doesn't run around like a moron on ice.

I bought this back in the day just because it had Robocop in it. I saw an ad on some gaming magazine and that was enough. I played the shit out of it, never once did I realize how crappy it was. It's not like I didn't own good games to compare. I just didn't notice. All games were good, unless they were unplayable, which is not the case here. But looking at it now, my god. Especially when compared to games like Metroid, Journey to Silius, etc... This is just garbage.
