Vx1 should be equal to -i1 because the sign of vx1 is negative. See the first ckt of the solution when we are considering only the voltage source. Correct me if I am wrong.

see the polarity of Vx1 it is same along the current tressing direction... If polarity of Vx1 will interchange then you will get Vx1 equals to -i1

because current direction is opposite
@leminh3482
@leminh3482 3 жыл бұрын
You can think of it as going from the positive terminal (higher voltage) to the negative terminal (lower voltage) you have a voltage drop of V = -Vx2/2 (the current in this case goes from the positive to the negative terminal). If you have the current goes in the opposite direction V = Vx2/2. Hope this will help.

@davidalbigensechilengi

You're right he said that but he actually meant , of which he was correct, that it only becomes the voltage of the node if there's no other branch (resistor for instance) between a nonreference node and the reference node. If there's only a voltage source between a nonreference node and the reference node then the voltage is equal to the voltage of the nonreference node. I hope that will help..
@davidalbigensechilengi
@davidalbigensechilengi 4 ай бұрын
But for this question there's a resistor as well as a voltage source between a nonreference node and the reference node.
@davidalbigensechilengi
@davidalbigensechilengi 4 ай бұрын
This is because there's voltage on the source as well as on the resistor. That's how I understood.
