Nice video, yet the disassembly sequence is not exactly right - by detaching base first, you risk breaking the tabs at the bottom of back panel, and stressing the flow meter and wiring. First undo both deepest-recessed screws at the bottom (these hold the front panels) while leaving other bottom screws in place, and you'll be able to remove both lower front panels just by pulling them at the drain drawer socket. Then undo two black screws on the top of back panel, and two more on the sides of the front that were hidden by front panels, and you'll remove the back panel easily, without messing with wiring, piping or tab breaking. Assemble in the backward order. Usually there is no need to remove the base at all, and this way, as bonus, you'll be able to test the machine in the mid-way of repair. Also avoid removing front knobs needlessly - these break easily if installed improperly.

An informative comment. I discovered the same when following the video. In my situation, I only needed to take the front cover off, to remove and clean the dispenser part in the front. (In my case, the white outlet tap didnt move down, causing the Coffee to go in the overflow compartment)

The piston was locked, after 3 times i got it working again, however now the coffee doesnt come out of the nozzle. That white part is assemled correctly i think, but the front end piece of the piston doesnt press it on top of it. There are gears maybe thatsway there is an off set. How do i allign it correctly?

If I remember correctly, it has 2 parts that fit together with small clamps. You should try to match the shape of the parts and the clams sides

I struggled with this as well... Actually the nozzle has 3 parts, two that clearly fit on each other. The third must be placed below the nozzle to support it. The higher part on the right, the opening below nicely fits around the screw hole. is there a way to clean the sensors really well without disassembly? mine keeps saying the capsule container is full... nespresso has sent me two new bins. the first one seemed to work for a bit then it stopped. the second one, not so much. open to suggestions.

From what you are saying, I guess you are right about a dirty sensor that do not read correctly the container. You can try to take out the container and using an ear stick try to clean the sensor's lens without disassembly

Cool video, it looks like a lot of work! I've been watching it since we have a problem with water leaking from under the machine, it comes from somewhere in the middle of the machine and it is almost constantly (not only after brewing a cup). Before I go buy the special screwdriver, do you think it can be fixed? I guess something is wrong with the pipes leading from under the water tank to inside the machine. Many thanks!

It will work. I had the some problem. You just have to disassemble the machine and clean all parts especially the pyramide plate. After that it works like a new one. Good luck an as we say insallah you will be successful.

I think I need to strip mine later; it wasn't used for a few months and now the coffee just leaks into the internal pod bin instead of coming out of the hose. It's probably full of hardened goop.

I think is the part from 4:44 minute in my video. It is like a funnel that collects the coffee from the boiling point. You should try to see how you can fix it in order for coffee to flow through it

Hmm i got the hardened coffee cleaned out and all assembled again. I now still got the issue that my coffee get dumped into the leakage box thingy instead of my cup. Can you still help me? Im kind of out of ideas

From what you are saying, I guess there is a broken piece, or a weakened hose. Also check the main body where the capsule is pressured, maybe the moving parts do not connect perfectly. My advice, disassemble it again and check every part, especially the parts through which the coffee travels

Had the same issue with mine, we have hard water and the top left section where the capsule aluminium top gets perforated, that bit has a lot of very small holes and limescale builds up over time. Strip it down, take that bit out and soak in limescale remover for 10 mins (or whatever it says on the pack), also a good opportunity to give it an inside clean as well.... Yuck!!. Many thanks to ‘Usual Repairs’ for this video, it was invaluable in terms of when I got stuck (Aluminium front bit) taking it apart.

Hello, I would like to ask your opinion on my nespresso expert and milk. Lately i descaled the machine which went fine. Afterwards since then the machine doesnt exit the descaling modus anymore. The other options dont work, neither can i turn the machine on or off unless i unplug it. Do you have any idea what it could be? I asked about it and was said that it might be a system issue and was unfortunately asked a lot of money for service. Thank you in advance.

I think you should try a factory reset. I do not know the exact steps for that, but I know that there is an option in the mobile app. Also a deep cleaning as shown in the video might work

When I press the on/off button for seconds, the blinking orange light goes steady, but then the large cup starts blinking and nothing works. When I push the on/off button again then on/off button blinks a few times blue light and then orange light blinks again. When I push the on/off button 9 secs and after that put temp on high, and after that push on/off button again then all cups, temp and Nespressolight blink a few times and after that all lights go out except for again the orange light blinking. Anyone have a solution for that?

It has a lot of moving parts inside, so I guess there is hardened coffee that blocks parts from sticking together very well, so there may be leaks

If you remove only the silver dispenser cover, first ‘unclick’ the small black nozzle cover and then turn/pull the silver cover, you’ll see the coffee nozzle. This is a moving part. Mine was blocked by old coffee residu and unable to move fully down. That’s why your coffee is flowing backwards. Cleaning solves the problem. You should be able to remove the cover without unscrewing the bottom. The front side panel ‘click’ in place. Removing is always tricky, but thereafter screws come visible and removing these will make the rest of the cover come off. Only remove the silver dispenser cover, no need to remove the turning selection knobs. Good luck and enjoy ;-)

It’s probably clogged, you have to disassemble the machine until you can remove the part that pours the coffee. That part is probably filled with junk. Cleaning that part solved this issue for me :) (It’s the part at 2:58)

I've just started having problems with the coffee pouring inside the capsule tray. Some of it pours through but most of it goes into the tray. From what I've been able to understand by looking at this video and from looking at my problem, the machine works as it's intended so there's nothing mechanically wrong with it. The problem is that the white nozzle is clogged and the coffee spills back into the capsule tray. I'm using an unraveled metal file-pin thing on the white nozzle from the outside and a toothbrush on the inside. pieces of hardened coffee are coming out so im hoping it will get fixed in time. ran about 10 liters of water through it's still making coffee.
