PROCEDURE FOR TOTALLY CLEANING THE NESPRESSO PIXIE COFFEE MAKER WITHOUT DISASSEMBLING - MY EXPERIENCE PROBLEM: Machine does not produce coffee due to clogging, causing a large backflow of hot water. 1. Clean the inside of the machine as many times as necessary, as recommended by the manufacturer, until the water comes out completely clean. 2. Afterwards, turn off the machine's power take-off, remove the tray, and do the following: With the machine in hand, place the coffee outlet under the sink faucet, letting hot water pass for approximately 2 minutes, making the counterflow, which will release the material deposited in this sector. After applying the cleaning procedure, mentioned in item 1, which will remove the material that was removed by the counterflow of hot water. 3. Repeat the procedure from item 2 until there is no more coffee residue in the spout. 4. After these procedures, there will be no more hot water backflow and the machine will produce coffee normally.

@@benassy69 After item 2 I applied a "manual" procedure using a counterflow with hot water. This counterflow procedure is typically used in industrial process filters, or more commonly in pool filters. As people don't routinely clean, I think Nespresso could incorporate a similar procedure.

The counterflow technique worked perfectly: I brushed the pyramides plate from the inside with soap and rinse extensively (as recommended by the Nespresso hot line), but it did not help. I then applied full pressure hot water from my tap up the nosle, creating the counterflow... I could see small brown aggregates drip down my sink, and after replugging, I had barely any clogging. Thanks for the easy fix!

Thank you for the amazing video! I was able to fully disassemble and clean a Krups XN 3005 (which is actually the exact same machine as in this video). Now it is working well again. The fact that you have to disassemble everything to do something as simple as cleaning the nozzle (and that almost everything is attached with snaps instead of screws - obviously, I broke a good number of them in the process) clearly shows that the manufacturer does expect people to discard the machine and generate waste instead of just attempting to fix it...

This machine is being operating for the past 10 years, would you imagine the mess. Lol. Again, thanks a lot.

You clearly forgot the MOST important part!! Make a cup or two if you are able before you start to help motivate and keep focus! Truly a great video that helped me clean my system properly and identify where the leak was coming from. I got it into working order just before puting the other half on to see it operate. I used your other video for "most common leak points" to identify the leak just after the heating point. Took that apart and cleaned and the leak is much less now. I may replace in the future, but my system is fully hands on cleaned with vinegar and soapy water. Thank you again for such an in-depth disassembly for what we all know they DONT want to be a serviceable unit!

We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.

Hi Adrian, I discovered, via the manual, that the correct and very easy way to remove the inside chamber that you struggled with, forcing it, is by inserting a small screwdriver at the top on the left inside the drip tray chamber, there is a small square hole, when you do that and lift a little bit at the same time, it releases entirely by itself, without any pulling and/or danger of breaking latches/tabs.

This is why new EU law is going to oblige manufacturers to make, for example, phones in which the buyer can easily replace a battery. Nespresso developed machines to make it seem impossible to fix, newer versions are sometimes easier. Now, depending on how much use the machine has had. It may be best to replace the whole machine. Orings, seals, and diffusers shrink, wear out, or get cracks in them due to the heat. I've had machines apart where there were hairline cracks in the plastic that show up like like bright lightning strikes using analin dye and uv light. If the unit still leaks suspect hairline cracks.

@semimarathon211008 ай бұрын

@@benassy69 no called customer service. They had me use soapy water n brush inside and poke the inside of the spout with a toothpick. I had descaled it but - still had problems. However, after a few tries the water stopped coming out the back. I put 1/2 sheet paper towel folded in the clear part n it’s not bad at all. If want to exchange - for new they gave me a discount. But for now I’m making cafe!

Why? Don't stress about a Coffee machine!
@GetMoreMellow6 ай бұрын
This is one of the worst models actually. It is difficult to get apart. It makes a hell of a lot of noise. If you want to make a coffee when it's late, the neighbours may think you are drilling in the bathroom, or your wife has got a heavy duty kick-starting vibrator and is using it many times a day. The Essensa in my opinion is much nicer, easy to take apart, not as noisy because Nespresso introduced an innovation they came up with, which is a rubber setup to which the noisy pump is attached, this model her doesn't have that and so amplifies sound by having the pump laid pretty much against the plastic of the machine.

I don't need a video to show how to push, pull, crack, snap everything with heavy breathing and a lot of frustrations, I can do that by myself thank you! I'll look for a more better video about actually disassembling this unit.

You don't need anything ... You are already smarter than the average Joe, and that's why heavy breathing and cracking and snapping is triggering you. Thanks for the comment I've got a great laught.

@@benassy69 Yeah thanks for keeping the video "real" (rather than "manicured", lol). I see in advanced the moment that could trigger me: the pesky-to-remove filter plate. :)
