Four years later to your post and it was still very helpful. I didn’t find the part anywhere in Mexico but following your advice I glued with epoxic and … problem solved!!! Thanks

TYSM!!!! I used this video to diagnose and repair my Nespresso U (D50) made in Hungary. The biggest problem was figuring out what tool I needed to unscrew the 3 screws to open the housing. For those in the US I bought a Titan "tamper proof star key "set for $10 -a very worthwhile investment. The T-10 star shaped screwdriver with a central depression fit the tiny screws in my machine which may differ by manufacturer I did the same repair in the video using a thick piece of wire from jewelry making and gluing it as per the video. I later found the part on eBay for around 20 dollars but so far my repair has been working. I could not have done this without this video! Thank you again!

Thkx a lot Adrian, great repair café!! In my case the clips were not broken. Only the noozle was no more fixed. By the way, my model has a third screw located behind close to watertank which you need to unscrew to take over the cover. Torx are TORX BO TX 10 which a whole in the middle
@xrayban23 жыл бұрын
Same as mine, the lower clip was broken. So I don't see what's wrong on the noozle from the tutorial, it looks like mine (without the metal pin) ?

Great video! An easier way to remove the nozzle is to run the machine and then pull the plug when the main part has moved to the back. Plug it back in when you have reinstalled the nozzle and it will move back into place.

This was the method I used. Didn’t need to take the case off, no Torx screwdriver required.

Super video that helped me to fix my nespresso UMilk. Instead of fixing it with a small metal rod like you I just bought a new nozzle for small money.

Great! This is what I also recommended. I only repaired with the rod since I could not find the spare part in my country.

Cheers. I snapped part of a sewing needle for mine, and used super glue and baking soda to instantly dry and make it extra strong. Works well cause the motor made the part clash with the bucket part and it survived it. I then adjusted everything correctly and it works perfect. Just remember to have overhangs because my first attempt I cut it too short and noticed that you need the overhangs as it slides into the little tip bucket to tilt it forward.

Just fixed my sister-in-law's Nespresso XN250 using this method, thanks so much. A tip is to use a section of spare/broken stainless steel spoke from a bicycle wheel, so there are no potential issues with rust.

VERY nice tutorial, Adrian! I just had to do the same repair to my U. Though I generally followed your guide, a did a few things differently. Mainly, I used a stainless steel nail cut to size (20 mm). I opted to use a stainless steel rod so that I didn't need to bother with corrosion in the long run. Second, to glue the nail/rod in place, I first carved a shallow groove on the plastic of the nozzle so that the rod would be more firmly positioned for the glue job. And I used cyanoacrylate glue (superglue) to fix the rod in place. However, normally superglue would have a hard time adhering metal (specially ss) to that kind of plastic (ABS?). So, to overcome this, I first roughed up a bit the surface of the plastic and also filed the nail, leaving small notches all over it's length, to increase the surface where the glue would act. And most important of all, I sprinkled baking soda over the area after appling the superglue. The result was an acrylic-like surface over the nail and the the surface of the nozzle, keeping the nail firmly in place. The end result was prettyy strong, to the point that I think that if I tried to prye out the nail, it would rip chunks off the blak plastic with it. Moreover, not counting the very strong bond, it cures in seconds, so right after cleaning the baking soda and washing/brushing everything up I could assemble the machine back together. Cyanoacrylate glue can easily handle the temperature of a Nespresso machine, and with the baking soda mixed in it's safe to use there.

A good how-to video. But I'd rather see how the cables are detached, because I did it only once and now have no idea of how to remove it again - these sit way to firmly in its nests. BTW, a Torx is not needed here - use a flat screwdriver and put it so it grabs any two notches in the screw's head. Works perfectly for me.

hi Adrian, Happy New Year 2024. So I'm working on a Nespresso Krups milk with the slide function and automatic capsule drop into the container underneath. Must say the more functions there are, the more things that may possibly go wrong. I was doing the one job that is now done, but when I reconnected the top part that has the 3 buttons for small, medium and large coffee, the lights had stopped working, the functions still work, but no lights. Wonder if you know what that is, maybe i short-circuited the green electronics panel housed under the buttons, I took that apart today, it all looks ok. I have another machine, almost the same model, maybe I'll take the little connector off that and see if it is that that is wrong, but as that machine is not6 mine, I may read up on it all tonight, see if I can find some info.

Adrian, do you know how to get the diffuser out for cleaning on this type of Nespresso? On the other machines where the user applies the force for perforating, I seen videos of people removing that entire unit. I get a sense mine is rather blocked. Tried cleaning it with a tooth brush but to no avail.
