This commercial was released years after the accident in Madlum River, which 7 Bulacan State University students died while crossing the Madlum River without the bridge seen in this commercial. The backlash was so strong, Bear Brand pulled out the commercial weeks later. Fact: One of the victims was former EB Babe Maiko, one of the students.

I'm from Bulacan po. Nakapunta na rin ako (sa wakas) sa Sitio Manalmon. Meron na silang hanging bridge. Sabi ng locals, tumulong daw sila Sir Jay Taruc para mapondohan yung hanging bridge nila. Pero the people there didn't take the monkey brigde down. They keep it as tourist attraction. I was able to experience it. Soooobrang saya and fulfilling (knowing the history behind it). Sana ma-visit nyo rin. It's just a mere 3 hour travel from Manila

That stuff really happend here but the film is editted i think and i saw kids do that just to go to school and fyi i also do that until now just to go to school or sometimes go the long ways which is 2h travel so in order to do that we wake up at 3am and start walking at 4am life is hard so we make the most of what we have :)
