how much does the small opening of the hairnet stretch? can it fit over your head? then you could put it around your neck, do your hair, scrunch, etc. and then easily pull it over the hair. if that doesn't work, I would just buy net stockings, and turn that into two open end hairnets for this purpose.

Wouldnt it be easier to tie the knot in the net at the end ? So pull the net through around your neck like a snood scarf and then pull the net up across gathering the hair inside.

Yes. That’s how I do it. I actually don’t tie a knot at all. I do it like I’m using this for a wig like the box direction on the wig cap says.

Put the net around your neck first. Then wet your hair and apply your products. Then carefully flip your hair upside down, pull the net over your hair, hold on the the end of the net while carefully flipping your hair back right side up, then tie the end of the net, carefully flip upside down, and dry

Listen you need to knot it once it’s on your head. It’s open at both ends to be slipped over your head like a headband would go Slip it down to neck then style your hair and when you’re ready to put it on bend forward and ease the un-elasticized end downwards over your curls Stand up then knot 🤷🏽‍♀️
