Okay, so when you are defending your partner, make sure your marking/shadowing their moves. (And always make sure your arm is in front of them. Do not get 3 feet or closer. Keep your eyes up, and jump high for the ball.

Thank you for this. I play netball myself and I normally play GK or GD. I consider myself good at defence but one can improve, I’m mainly needing of this because my team has had its best season so far (we haven’t lost a single game) but we are just about to go against a team we have never won against. I played all positions, it was lovely all positions have their own jobs. I had to play all positions to find the right one for me, now I'm GA and GS, but my coaches said that all positions suit me but I should stick to shooting especially since we don't have that many good shooters.

I play netball myself a good thing to do (any ages) is be 3/4 feet and lean over the ball so they may get held ball or just harder for people.
