I just want it to limit the big distance between players in my lobby in call of duty , knowing which server I’m actually joining will help understand my weird ass gunfights
@pigeonstranglerАй бұрын
I had a Netduma years back and it told me where the servers were, and were all the players in my lobby were. Now, due to privacy laws, I can’t see any of that. It killed the product.

I have a netduma r2 and just got the r3. I think the r2 interface is way way better
@droneguy02654 ай бұрын
If you buy a new R3 from Netduma direct do not pay extra for the 1-2 day shipping. I did pay the extra last Friday when I contacted them they said it was too late to ship on Friday no problem it was shipped on Monday and tracking says it will not get delivered till Friday no tomorrow Wednesday. Duma basically said that’s not delayed enough to refund the difference in shipping to a repeat customer and puts it on UPS and I’m out of luck. I would recommend you save your money I will see when delivered if postage is 1-2 day if not will share with you.

Well never thought of a gaming router.
@upstarter7 ай бұрын
Just a quick word on traffic prioritiation... this router can absolutely handle a house full of devices, gaming consoles, pc's and work laptops + individual VPNs. Thats the point of prioritization. Sometimes its auto, others you can dial in exactly how much in percentage you want each device to have, and the firmware is good at telling you what ip address is what. I've ran the same nighthawk netduma with DumaOS through two households and both had all the above, even two working at home IT engineers with 3 kids, variiusl consoles, phones, ipads, tvs etc. This was the old software and old router. If you decide to go this way, you gwan be fyne me bruddr

I use to love my duma but that fact you need a modem to use it and the setup was horrendous. Gave up and sold it. It was such a pain to get up and running. Took days to get it working every time I changed my ISP.
@greenxstealth3224 ай бұрын
Don’t you need a modem to even have internet?
@jday42174 ай бұрын
@@greenxstealth322 Most modern routers you just plug in and get internet access without faffing around. The biggest issue with the Duma IMO is that you have to turn your IPS router into a modem/bridge to get the Duma to work. I've lost count of he days I've spent trying to optimise this. And then if you change ISP, you have to start all over again and each one is different. The Duma needs to be plugin and play before I get another one. I'm a simple man with a simple mind.
@greenxstealth3224 ай бұрын
@@jday4217 They advertise it like it’s plugin and play, I’m thinking about getting one but not sure if it’s that hard to set up or not. Is there any better router with features similar to this one?
@beardedcueball3 ай бұрын
@@jday4217The only way this is true is if a router specifically states that it is a router and a modem in one. If not, you would obviously need a modem separately for this. I know when I’m looking into buying a new router, I’m definitely reading if it’s just a router, or if it’s a router/modem combo..seems like you didn’t do that

Absolutely not true for "pure " gaming experience. Certainly for wireless range and maybe internet speed.

Same. So much faff for so little impact. Shame because the team behind it seem nice.

I'll take my r2 over my r3 all day. They seem to have more options with the r2 on the interface. Don't use for wifi it's trash

Netduma is garbage , a lot of better products for less, same price or slightly more. Constant bugs that take months to patch, wack.

TP LINK Archer AXE75 , but I myself went the Mesh route since I have so many devices in my household ; done with gaming routers. I got the TP LINK XE75 tri-band 6E system.
