Yep, they do that with Amazon music as well. It's supposed to come with Amazon prime, but you have to pay 9.99 a month to be able to look up songs and have the actual song play. If you don't pay the extra amount, then you can request a song, but it may not play. You may get a song that falls under whatever genre the song you wanted to listen to was in.

This feels like the DMX song where he was naming a bunch of women names. I got Netflix, Hulu, paramount, peacock, Amazon, Disney, Max, Starz and one more I can't remember. But it's too much , I am willing to pay one fee to watch everything because they make it so hard to watch shows you like because they take them off because they belong to other streaming apps. This year I am narrowing it down to 3 because they all are going up in price which I can't keep paying and let's not forget we still have to pay for the Internet which is a bill of its own. However I remember at some point they put sensors on those tapes and you had to walk out the door between those tall wall like anti theft devices lol. When I was unemployed I once had to go three months without my paid subscription to streamers, I suddenly discovered roku had 200+ free channels, covering every niche, channels that play marathons of shows old and new, movie channels by the decade, yes there were commercials but gone was the pain of choosing what to watch, going through endless lists, reading descriptions, it was exactly like basic cable but what surprised me was how I missed it, missed planned tv schedules, missed discovering something new buy switching channels, missed just having to turn the tv on to a channel and just sit and watch, not scroll through menus and lists getting sidetracked, it was refreshing. I got into watching Carol Burnett and was introduced to the strange and fasinating bygone world of 70s variety shows through a random time capsule roku channel.

They use T-Mobile cell towers for mobile internet connections, the only difference is since they’re considered second tier carriers they get throttled the most when theres heavy internet traffic on various towers. Although Metro gets priority over Mint when it comes to internet speeds.

Hulu is the only platform that I somewhat excuse simply because they been on this. Hulu was free; I remember because I used to watch SNL clips on there after the episodes would air. Then, in the late 2000s they started transitioning to paid subscriptions by offering a premium option. It wasn’t until I left high school that Hulu started charging folks and took away the free option altogether. So, really Hulu has been playing games for nearly a decade now. Pretty much expect it at this point 🤷🏾‍♀️
