I just saw David Cross perform a few weeks ago and he mentioned that he and Bob pitched a show where they were both leaders of different/opposing cults and whatever service they pitched it to said they didn't know how to market it/fit it in their catalog. @@Jacksonvilla thing just is that they are entertainment company and companys main goal, 99,9% of times is to make money so they are doing these things because they think they will lose money if they don't. These companies just don't have these days any pulse on society, they think some article which is produced so dying media would get clicks will effect them when the article is constructed on spesific minority beleaves. Like say some small portion of twitter users make problem out of nothing and it get's trending especially because some people come and say how dumb it is and then media makes their own spin on it. The company also think these are wider beleaved things because they started to only hire pretty extreme lefties and not true diversity by diversity of tought, so it's a bubble where they are working from where 1000 employees will walk out on Chappelles special that isn't anykinda problem, it's in memory of his trans friend for gods sake (even one Really higher up leaked information and it's not sure but mifht have but the idea of a walk-out forward, she was fired. That's really radical behaviour to put such a position on a line because of a comedy special). They should be just puttting their minds in making entertaining shows and if there is some touchy subject, make it xtra sure that the actors are fine while portraying the scenes. That's it. I've noriced that they have gone as far as putting on so many shows and movies the picture of it to be women even if in the product the character would be in these particular productions some pretty small side-characters. It happens so much and to so many shows that it's not just some accident. It's just weard they feel the need to do that to make it seem like look we have so much shows with women on them. It's all ridiculous.

I feel the same way. I hear his voice and I know something biting, scathing, completely condescending, and assuredly hilarious is going to come. It’s really cool he did this podcast. Seems kind of out of his wheelhouse. Segura is actually a great guy to interview him too. Gets a lot out of him.

For stuff that Dave and Bob do on their shows I thought that sketch was pretty tame in comparison. The blackface was funny in context, it's an idiot trying to upset a cop, in that context it shows how stupid it is that someone would do that. It isn't a celebration or glorification of it.

Netflix did the same thing to the other show David Cross cameoed on Community, in which Ken Jeong's character is wearing "ALL BLACK BODY PAINT AND A WHITE WIG FOR A DnD DARK ELF CHARACTER WITH EARS!" 100% feeling empathy for the comedians and other artists being limited because of context being left out.
