So what was not mentioned was that, atleast according to Brett, he was willing to drop the title to Shawn, but Shawn told him he wouldn't do the same if he were in his shoes whichsupposedly is why he refused to drop it to Shawn. I'm pretty sure Bret and shawn have resolved their beef

The thing is with Bret getting screwed it made no sense to me…cause Bret would never go on wcw with wwf/wwe belt or any other promotion cuz that’s just not the person Bret is. His problem was with Shawn n the Kliq…it started when Bret was supposed to drop the belt to Shawn and Bret told Shawn he would drop the title to him any day and Shawn told he wouldn’t do the same for him…so now Bret don’t wanna drop the title to Shawn, understandably. Unfortunately, Vince was sure Bret was gonna run n take take the belt with him so they screwed him…Bret definitely made matters worse to tho like refusing to lose in Canada…it’s not about winning or losing or even doing it in your how town or country, it’s about telling the story u want to convey to the fans and get them to come back every week to see what happens next…that’s it’s all wrestling psychology…

Bret was still under contract with the WWF for another month after Survivor Series. VKM knew legally that Bret couldn't show up to WCW.

The only new thing I learned is Bret had to correct HBK how to do the sharpshooter because HBK was crossing the wrong leg over the wrong leg. Also, Vince and Bret got into a tussle - Vince never told Bret he has one shot at him - this was told by Bret himself.

the mcmahon netflix doc is just a bunch of other guys individual stories from other productions recycled and thrown I to mcmahons story. it's outdated too. it's interviews from like 4 years ago. so pathetic. and they talk about the bret era for like 5 seconds. vince just says "bret had some charisma. enough." thats it. that's how you sum up his run as champion lol

So far, I have watched the first 4 episodes of the McMahon documentary, and I have learned very little from it. Other than some tidbits about his childhood, everything is just recycled stories from numerous other documentaries and DVDS. It is not really about McMahon personally, but about the history of the WWE.
