@Haru X Kaz uses a can because he broke his leg as a teenager and it never healed right. He has a limp because of chronic pain that varies from day to day. Leigh (The writer) has osteonecrosis (a degenerative bone disease) which causes pain and has her needing a cane as a walking aid
