I had the same reaction you did!!! I was happy about this technology until Derrick was evaluated by the other expert...then I was absolutely DONE!!! And I was completely outraged when she gave Derrick's mom explicit details about how she assaulted him! Just wow!!

As a MSW I cannot understand how she would risk it all for the made up relationship. You mentioned it was like her having a living doll and it made me think of when she and her mother talked about her childhood. She would pretend to be disabled and was always helping. I hope there are no other victims.

All I can think is that mental illness is real. there isn't any "risk" involved when you're acting from dysfunction....well, you don't perceive any risk. It seems she's been compromised since childhood. Thats my guess.

I think she was a teacher or professor right? So I’m not sure she if she actually helped them.. I think they just was introduced to the computer. Then I’m wondering how did they put this movie together.. who put this movie together and how she get them to interview ..
