I think for me one of the funniest parts about Invader Zim is the fact that Zim himself is clearly pretty smart and talented while somehow being really dumb at the same time. Like he could pretty easily take over earth if he understood earth better and focused his destruction (and just stopped focusing on dib so much). I can see why - I've been experimenting with stylized and/or slightly Gothic character/creature designs lately while drawing myself, and it's definitely not as easy as it looks (and I wouldn't be surprised if it's especially hard to animate with because it's a hard style to recreate consistently over and over - and in a time when people were starting to transition from 2D to 3D animation, it makes the feat even more impressive)! People often underestimate keeping a style consistent for long periods of time while drawing, or trying to recreate someone else's drawing style over and over... 0_0

@@paradactyl3729 the entire show Zim values Machines more than life. He’s gladly sacrificed others for his own gain but hesitant to sacrifice the lives of robots. Minimoose is a labor of love for Zim and loves that thing like a child. GIR is his minion but he treats him more like a brother sometimes. Zim as far back as the second episode has made it clear his love is transactional. He cares about people as far as what they can do for HIM. Robots will do anything you tell them, can be made for any purpose and therefore treats them with far more love and respect than people because the robots earned his love.
