What makes Kungfu Hustle so great is the way Stephen takes advantage of using the humour and crazy cartoonish moments to make the emotional parts hit hard. All these actors are great. Mark zaror and scott Adkins are becoming more well known. The general public is noobs when it comes to martial arts movies. They dont recognize someone unless the movie is popular. Real fans of the genre know all these movies and actors though. Keanu specifically picked marko zaror I think cause he knows hes under rated. He was great in redeemer. There are too many great movie martial artist like Michael Jai white for me to just say 1 is best. These are just a few of the ones I like alot.

ok no one else said it so i will, when you where talking about dragon tiger gate you kept showing TURBO when refering to tiger in the segment, the brothers are donnie yen's dragon wong, and nicholas tse's tiger wong, shawn yue plays turbo the third of the trio, nice of you to mention the movie though i feel like it doesn't get enough recognition

Sorry just need to add these 😂 Grandmaster is one of the most beautifully choreographed martial arts films and the cinematography is breathtaking ❤️ (on Netflix now) Kungfu Killer edgy fight scenes, solid storyline, Donnie Yen is perfect in this role (not on netflix right now but has been and probably will be again, is however available on Amazon Prime now) Rise of the Legend is perfect in every way. Samo Hung (shame on you for not including him somewhere in the list) shines in this film, beautifully directed, story is quintessential Chinese kungfu cinema. (not on Netflix right now but wait for it or go watch it on Amazon Prime) I’ve seen 100s of martial arts films, practice kungfu and love movies; these 3 are my favorites. Put them on your list, you won’t regret it 😉

On Netflix start with kung fu hustle, ip man 1, crouching tiger hidden dragon, 36 chambers of the shaolin and daredevil if you want a good place to start to see the evolution of martial arts on screen. It would make it easier to watch than other movies where the fights scenes don’t really hold up such as buy bust where it’s mostly poorly choreographed behind a very derivative story. In terms of non Netflix titles, amazon has kung fu killer or kung jungle. The title changes from time to time. As well as the man from nowhere Hulu has 13 assassins, blade of the immortal, and samurai champloo for a good samurai fix. As well as a film titled warrior starring Tom hardy about MMA. This is not to be confused with warrior on Cinemax which is also a very good martial arts epic told as a series instead of a film. There is also the forbidden kingdom and hero, both of which star jet li. HBO max has a plethora of samurai films to choose from. But as far as I can tell only one martial arts film in the form of police story starring Jackie Chan.
