Conchita is one of the very few people that really make me proud to be Austrian. She is such a leader and such a gift to the world. She had the biggest balls going out on the stage with a beard, makeup and that golden dress... Such an inspirational human being

We all know he’s male and identified as so, but when you’re performing under your Drag persona (such as Conchita) then most people will say she. I find it quite telling that all the critics seem to hate it, or at best find it mediocre, and all the Eurovision fans, artists included, love it to bits. And don't get me started on the american critics, that's almost documentary film fodder. Although none of the critics seem to have any clue about what Eurovision is about, but amusingly enough, Will Ferrell seem to have figured it out.

@@pmsavenger Well, it's formulaic and predictable, an average comedy in most respects. I predicted every joke and plot point except the knife throwing elf. But the focus on Iceland was unique and the sincerity and the commitment of the actors made it likable. It had a warmth and sweetness to it that didn't feel fake.

It'' s my favorite song too. And the far-too-short moments in the film that it's seen/heard are my favorite parts of the movie. Ja ja Ding Ding however is a bit amusing, but imo definitely not the best song of the film.
