NETIZƎN - Act I (Animation)

Set in a wondrous little computer world, Ophiolore - an outdated and irritable beatnik who wants nothing more than to be left alone - goes on an adventure with a pumpkin man and encounters internet vices, sins, and horrible people.
This is the first episode of an animation I've been chipping away at, which was originally gonna be a lot shorter, but I wanted to add so many things to it that it's now too long to fit into just ten or so minutes :)

This is PHENOMENALL AND SO FUCKING SICK HELLOOO? You can just TELL you put so much fucking effort into this and it's AMAZING. The character dynamics of the pumpkin head and Ophiolore are super well done, with their tones coming across clearly despite the usage of pure sound effect for the two! It was a great idea to place those two characters together! They bounce off of each other super well! Other than the character dynamics, and the obviously STUNNING and unique visuals, the SOUND DESIGGGNNN GODD. IT'S SO FUCKING GOOOD so many people downplay sound design in visual media but GOD you fucking NAILED IT. The different environments having different tones, every character having a different lilt to their 'voices' as well as using differing sound fx that expand on their characterisation, and the subtle undertones of the first entity being reintroduced in the ending even before its real appearance on screen is SO good. MASSIVE props on the sound design dude HOLY SHIT. Also just overall ADORE the character designs. SO SO unique and telling for their characters. The way how they emote is shown through their designs - ESPECIALLY with Ophiolore - because they don't have 'normal' human facial features to emote is SUCH a sick way of making them emote. I would also like to note the usage of hands and arms - how in the very first scene of a character we see its arms and hands movement and how that CONTINUES even WITH the other characters. SO interesting and also I believe may hint at the act all tying back to the first character? Also the overall themes of eyes throughout the whole thing and the first character being something like an eyeball itself? how most characters lack eyes/eyeballs? I may be grasping at straws but either way I ADORE it and you've done SO well. AMAZZING job dude cannot express it enough.

the juice in this is off the charts! it shares a lot of dna with stuff like ena and hylics, but it's still very much its own thing, it's a stretch, but I also picked up some vibes similar to the monument mythos? the character designs are great, they're distinct and convey the characters' personalities effectively, and it feels like there's a lot of effort put into crafting the vibes, with a lot of details being included that aren't strictly necessary for the plot but that contribute to the feeling of the world around them. the music choices are also really good. I hope this series continues.

So, so many things about this scratch my brain, so I'll make a list: - the colours of the whole thing being so chaotic yet harmonious and calm somehow - the visual effects - the way the backgrounds are constructed and give an intense liminal space vibe - SO MUCH GRAHAM KARTNA, *YEEEEEEEEEESSSS* (I was so happy hearing his music for a project like this, since I religiously listen to his stuff. It's PERFECT) - the character designs. They're all so fun and unique! - the way different mediums interact and compliment each other - the way the hat guy (help I don't know his name (edit: OPHIOLORE, THAT'S WHAT IT WAS)) is animated and drawn looks so satisfying, reminds me of rotoscoping! - the extremely fun montages of the characters walking!! Oh this animation is just absolutely lovely! And if this is in fact a project with more to it I can't wait to see more of these quirky characters. The style is also so fascinating, seeming like a mix between ENA and Hylics. Especially with the animation of the hands and their movements. But I swear some of these sound effects are straight from LSD Dream Emulator. So I guess it reminds me of that as well. How to make a Bacon and Omellete Grilled Cheese Sandwich Omelette. Take 3 Organic Pete and Gerry eggs and mix them with a small amount of milk. Then, put the mixture into a 10 inch round frying pan. Put the lid of the frying pan on and set the heat to 5/med. Wait until the mixture is fully cooked (no raw/wet spots whatsoever). Now, put a reasonable amount of cheddar cheese onto the cooked egg mixture. You can also put bacon with the cheese if that’s what you prefer. After, fold the omelette once (it should look like a semicircle). Now, take the omelette out of the pan for now. Grilled Cheese. Take two slices of Publix Brioche bread and spread some lightly salted butter or mayo on one side of each slice of bread. Then put a slice of Vermont cheddar cheese on the opposite sides of the bread slices. Put the omelette in between the bread slices (the butter and cheese should be connected to the bread during this process. Now, put this sandwich onto the same pan. Cook each side to your liking, whether it’s perfectly cooked or not. After you are done cooking it, cut it down the middle so that there are to triangle slices of grilled cheese. Enjoy

This is probably the most ive ever been so focused on a video in a hot minute. The animation, the effects, the intro, the music, the characters, EVERYTHING shown in this video is amazing. I cannot imagine how long this took to finish. And im starting to think that this isnt going to be my first watch, and i can already tell this is going to inspire me a lot when drawing Im a big sucker for multi media/ collage in videos and im currently crying of joy that someone somehow made exactly what goes on in my head

I really like this, i would say this should get more popular, but also, a part of me likes the parts in a creators life cycle where everything stays small and every comment counts, but i really do think your animation and just the overall put togetherness of the project is superb and should recieve more acclaim. Well done!
