Well to be fair we also didnt have only one big ass ship, so the ambassador was already talking out his ass for most of the story, saying sol was earth instead of the sun wouldnt be out of the question.

I actually dislike this one. While, yes, the ambassadors do deserve to be fired upon for their impudence and aggression, ambushing them with a superior vessel and firing on them immediately isn't what I would consider honorable, far from it. The enemy forces are cartoonish villains as well, may as well give the Enreki Council member a moustache and a goatee.
