I want to know how the hell you got into my head... this is literally my everyday life. I'm not crying because I'm sad, I'm crying because in this statement... I know I'm not alone. And the little bit of joy that... holds me tightly

Reminds me of a fanmade klingon proverb about how those with depression are the most true and honourable of warriors.

Watch the DS9 twin episodes In Purgatory's Shadow and By inferno's Light. Martok talks to Worf about fighting one's own mind and praises Garak for fighting against his claustrophobia to save them all.

@@justinswinehart5361 isn't that more a warrior that confronts his fears more than anything?
@justinswinehart5361Ай бұрын
@@oddctioum The same idea can be applied to depression as well. It is a product of one's own mind.

Reminds me of Druss the legend telling sieben the saga master about true hero s , how a farmer could work his field all year , every day ploughing it , tilling it planting it and all the time trying to feed and raise a family and pay taxes , he asked how much courage it takes when after a full year of dawn till dusk backbreaking work the crop fails and the farmer is left with nothing , how much courage does it take to try again the next year tightening their belt a few notches because of starvation and knowing a few bad days of rain or untimely frost or a plague of insects or birds can nullify all your efforts ? The soldier stands in the face of a physical enemy he can at least have a chance at , but the farmers enemies strike with no warning and give no quarter , they can bring gifts or curses and the farmer has no way of knowing which is due ,

The greatest battles one can face are not on the battlefields with guns and artillery, but within the heart and mind of oneself for the drive to push onward, one day at a time

Sounds like a War Hero now having to live with his wounds and PTSD. I'm still watching it as of this writing. Edit: Okay, nice twist near the end there. It's always nice to have someone to talk to.

Bravo ! Excellently done , I really enjoyed the writing and the audio presentation was perfectly timed as always , we all forget that everyone of us is beset by demons and the person next to you might face immeasurable odds , always good to have a friend you can really count on , talk to and fight through your day with , pays to be nice , pays to be patient , pays to be a friend , pays to care about others 👍

Remindes me of that one dnd story about the champion cut off from his God found alone in long decrepit Armour with the broken hilt of a once glorious longsword in hand still acting upon the final command from his God. To let no one unseal the dark God he had sealed away decades ago.

This is one of those stories where Show is better than tell. Had this been a video that flashed back and forth between the 2 points of view rather than a Narrated story it would hit much better. 11 minutes of reading could be shown in 2 to 3 minutes of acting or animation.
