3:35 - You mention Agumbe Ghat section. Actually that ghat section is not on route to Kalasa from Hassan. You will also not go to Charmadi ghat.

we in a group of 9 are planning to do this trek, we have hired a private vehicle from Chikmagalur, till what point can the private vehicle go, and how long does it take to complete this trek?

There is a check post. You can check with local people once there. I am not sure if map can take you to correct point. If it is a jeep you might be allowed to go further 2km. How long and difficultly is there in the video. 4h up 3h down.

Nice informative video. I have couple of queries 1. If we take bike till what point we are supposes to take the bike, will it be same as where jeep wud have supposed to take? 2. Assuming bike was allowed till jeep point, from there the distance of trek will be 6km? Correct me if i am wrong?

Hello, Thank you. 1. Yes but you can take it beyond Jeep point. Roads are very steep though. Be safe. That is kind of Jeep track. Atleast 8 km you need to trek one way

I have seen only local vehicles. It would be very difficult during rainy season. Till that village you can take after that you need to trek anyway. Bikes I have seen but slopes are heavy.

Hi, Sure If you have bike Jeep is not required. You can take it to the village till the base point. Entry fees is 500 and guide is compulsory. You will get guide contact from forest office where entry fees is collected.

Hi, Thank you. otherwise Trekking distance will increase by 4km one way. You can try to join other group there. Even autos will go till some point. You can go for them.
