I think Steve saw what happened with Kyrie and the anti-semitism and what he posted and he was done. They were behind him before the season start so I think they liked Steve. So when he approached them with that, it was mutual because they also knew they needed a new coach. They fired him so he could get benefits they believed he deserved. He was in a terrible spot. KD already didn’t want him there anymore so the parting wasn’t negative. That doesn’t excuse how bad of a coach he was though. 😅

Skip is 100% about Nash being too nice. I helped him at a store a few times back during his MVP playing days. The guy was incredibly polite and humble. One of the best PGs in the world at the time and he walked around shopping like any other person. The most major issue is that you cannot teach players defense who have either barely or never have played defense. It was never in their roles to play defense. Their roles were to either score or shoot the ball.
