I think Steve saw what happened with Kyrie and the anti-semitism and what he posted and he was done. They were behind him before the season start so I think they liked Steve. So when he approached them with that, it was mutual because they also knew they needed a new coach. They fired him so he could get benefits they believed he deserved. He was in a terrible spot. Shannon’s first take on coaches in the NBA is important to think about when he said “Coaches feel like they are walking on eggshells in the NBA” as much as I love to see players have all this power because they are the ones who sacrifice and put it on the line but it taints the league when coaches can’t be the leaders they want or can be.
@fashionlife53482 жыл бұрын
Biggest bs ever said Coaches Job is tu use the Talent organized To Win
@chalnervassor94302 жыл бұрын
Correct. And it holds back good coaches from being great coaches. In this league to be a great coach takes creativity from coaching and buy in from players. And even with those things it may not work out. But when coaches are handicapped by players because they won't fit into roles, shoot the ball, or even play at all, then it makes it hard to coach. Especially when everyone knows that your job security is in the hand of someone who does't want you there.
@thebenc15372 жыл бұрын
I hate to see players with this much power. They are great at playing a game but they know nothing about running a multi billion dollar organization. I don't want to see the owners playing basketball and I don't want to see players trying to make organizational decisions.

Steve Nash is lucky to get out of there. He deserved better but he was dealing with people that didn’t want to be coached.
@thefighter51822 жыл бұрын
You're wrong and here's why. Because Steve Nash isn't taking control of the players to play basketball as a team as a whole. Because he should've done that even though he didn't do that at all. Because the successful Coaches will have to tell them to do that and make them do that. Because the players are selfish and making everything about themselves and that's why. Yeah no wonder that Steve Nash is getting fired for not doing that whatsoever.

Nash is the scapegoat the failures have been on the players. He was told by his franchise player they didn’t need a coach so what was expected of him? With that said this is on KD bc this what he wanted period.

The most major issue is that you cannot teach players defense who have either barely or never have played defense. It was never in their roles to play defense. Their roles were to either score or shoot the ball.
