Wireshark is why I left Windows completely. When I saw all those mysterious incoming/outgoing signals I'd had enough. This was really helpful for my little file-server! PS: Ctrl+D will drop you out of any Unix shell process.

I did for a long time, but then I started having issues with keepstate problems, and abandoned it. The owner of Netgate sent me a new unit to review, and when we were talking, he said he thought they found that bug in BSD and squashed it a few years back. I reviewed the new router, and he was right, the keepstate issue is gone. So I run it at home and at my little datacenter!
