The hardest chapter is over. Thanks Professor Messer. You are the man

is this the hardest chapter? that's a huge relief. Hopefully the next chapters will be more merciful towards me. LMAO.

I’d argue that the printing chapter is the worst but everyone has their strong suits

I did the stupid Google IT course. Learned nothing. This is way better, I agree.
@HearMeLearn3 жыл бұрын
@@auralplex Like a year ago I was looking into the google IT course and I almost bit the bullet, but I looked at reviews and "does it actually help you get an IT job" and it actually seemed kinda useless in practice even though on paper it looks like a good way to get your foot in the door
@cgme70763 жыл бұрын
That seems to be how it always goes. College is just to get a degree. I'm also in college right now, but I still hold to the truth that you don't really *learn* anything that useful in college, especially if you don't have an interest in the field you are studying.
@70Se7en Жыл бұрын
I couldn't agree more. I'm nearing the end of my bachelor's and I feel like I've only learned the absolute basics of computers because every single course just kind of repeats the same basics that the other course stated. I have more background experience since I grew up with computers as a teenager, but with people who are just coming into IT with no personal experience, only using college as a resource gets you nowhere.

Professor, you said performing the crimping process was outside of the scope of the Network+ exam.....did you mean A+?
@professormesser3 жыл бұрын
You don't need to demonstrate any crimping skills for the A+ or Network+. You still have to know what a crimper is and when to use it, for both A+ and Network+.

On the 1001 and 1002, will I have to demonstrate that I know how to use all of these tools? I'm just not sure if I only need to know what they are, or go ahead and buy them all to learn to use them.
@professormesser4 жыл бұрын
There is no hands-on portion of the exam, so you won't need to physically operate any of these tools. You should ideally understand what functions these tools can provide and when you should use them in your troubleshooting efforts.

Does the tone generator go through splitters ?
@professormesser3 жыл бұрын
As long as an analog signal will transmit through the copper, the tone will be heard on the other end.

hi does cable tester same with multi meter?
@AjayKumar-un9gy4 жыл бұрын
cable tester mainly testes the punching of network cable & the type of cable, for example, if it is straight or a cross-over cable. a multimeter is an electronic measuring instrument it measures the current, resistance, various voltages, etc. on the cable. it can be also used to check if the cable is good or not.
