What’s your current audio interface and what do you wanna upgrade to?

UAD VOLT 2, NI S8, no. Although at 2 K, it's good value for money, I guess. Being Neumann and all.

I have the AudioFuse Studio. I am really happy with it. If I would switch to something it would be the AudioFuse 16rig. I have too many synths and need something with a lot of inputs.

Yes the new joint looks crazy! I am a bit concerned about the quality tho but it’s got a lot of inputs!

Hey hey ...love how you do what you do. Don't tell anyone this, but a lot of times hearing it from a lady's perspective helps ... Ok I use the Volt 2/76, it's actually a power house. A lot of hmmmph in the little box. No issues with it whatsoever... I like this here though, never been a fan of multi- inputs on a small machine, but hey, I would rather record one at a time, but outside of that, it looks like it can get the job done. The interface arena is about to get muddy, a lot of companies are realising that home studios and small set-ups need good inexpensive gear and they are stepping to the plate...I bet you we shall revisit this soon...take care and GOD's Speeeeeeeed!
@Sarah2ill Жыл бұрын
Thank You for your feedback! Glad to hear the Volt 2/76 is working well for you! There seems to be a lot of good options to choose from more than ever! I am now out of the "let me find the cheapest thing" and I do care more about the quality of my recordings. I enjoy having multiple inputs, especially for my live stream. I wouldn't like to unplug and plug things up as I am live. I enjoy that everything is on and I can record it with a press of a button! have a great day!
@KDL064 Жыл бұрын
@@Sarah2ill Thanks so much for your reply. Yes for what you do, absolutely works to be able to record all at the same time. For me if I am recording a band or choir type stuff, I'll just go and record in a large studio, then back to my place to mix. You are so right, a lot of options and yep, it does not have to be the cheap option because the high end ones are affordable now...have a great one too...

I own the apollo rack and a twin with two quad satellites, a quad and solo PCIe cards inside the computer as well so needless to say I'm totally immersed in the UAD platform. I have mostly all the signature series plugs (SSL, Neve, API etc) and I just haven't found anything that treats my classic MPC devices as nice as this platform. I think the higher quality we continue to get, the cleaner the audio becomes which is fine for digital based in the box musicians, but for producers like me, we love the dirt and grit of older sounding music. Thats what made it special to me (in my opinion). Great video though as always!

Whoa. Maybe I’ll just stick to ableton. I switched over to live7 back in 2007 from a mpc 1000 to a laptop. I had to sell it cause needed studio rent money. I bought what was at the time a $600 used laptop from a neighbor who fixed up computers in his garage. Feeling a bit of separation anxiety from not having my mp I started my journey into learning live7. In the beginning I couldn’t wrap my head around the clock and the warping features and nearly smashed my laptop against the wall, I’m glad I didn’t. I became good at it in a pretty quickly and is still my go to in present time. I recently left a comment about wanting a mpc x se on a chat about listening to peoples beats. Watching you ( sarah2ill ) get into ableton now pretty much answers a question I figured out almost 20 yrs ago. Maybe I’ll just get a solid brand ne w Cpu, a 404mk2 and this interface too. It looks sick af. I like your feel and your aesthetic quality is dope. Thanks for making these videos you work so hard.💪🏽🙌🏽✌🏽

My father just purchased me a focusrite 4i4 4th generation audio interface for an early Christmas present. We got it from Sweetwater. My assigned sales engineer suggested it to use with my mpc live 2. Also I've been trying to record my written rap songs with the standalone Akai mpc live 2. I'm hoping to get better clarity with the focusrite 4i4 when it comes to recording my vocals.

I currently have the Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 MK2, I love it for my home studio but I think I'll be upgrading to SSL 12 and looking for something like a scarlet or MOTU to add additional I/O through ADAT. Right now I just use an aggregate device on windows or Mac since a lot of my instruments have USB functionality to set that up, but I'd prefer to have it setup through an interface with how glitchy a lot of this USB stuff gets when you have too many things plugged in. You definitely got me interested in this Neumann and if I was gunna spend nearly 2K on an interface I'd probably look between that or something by Antelope Audio these days (Sorry to UAD lol)

try the Rode new usb/Condenser. Dsp onboard when using it as a usb. Gate, compressor, eq reverb i think. That interface has excellent converters. Its a serious contender to Apogee and Uad Apollo.

I actually dislike it that the MT48 has a screen as that usually means more issues. Why would u want to look at that little, slow-ass screen, when u can just use the one on the pc monitor with your mouse?! I want this interface, im sure it sounds the best, but that screen, its slow reaction time, its just turning me off. I can imagine the fan turning on from it heating up and the screen flickering over time. It's an amazing device with a real downside. Am I wrong? Im using an RME babyface pro and all its controls are on my pc monitor and I never have to worry about an LED screen or heat issues...I'm sure it doesn't sound as pristine, but it gives me peace.

This was the Merging Anubis, but Neumann acquired them, I would say ether this or an RME fire face ucx 2 are the best up grade from the Apollo twin x I use, the interface you have is perfect for you since you deal with mic that needs tons of gain RME for outboard gear (Compressors limiters eq's) @@Sarah2ill
