Neumann NDH 20 Headphones Review/Rundown for Home Studio Voiceover & Audiobook Narration

I absolutely love these videos. Some VO artists are so polarizing but Jay is.... just a nice dude and crazy talented. I'm trying everything I can think of to get my foot in the door but, so far, I've made about -$20,000 in voice over (please notice the negative sign) so, of course, my next step is... pay more money for coaching. I'm excited to start with J. Michael in a couple of months and I am definitely going to reach out to Jay for coaching. What else can I say... this guy should have 10 millions subs, honestly. Come on world, get to know Jay. These videos are incredible.

The most impressive thing about these is that they have the Neumann logo on them and they don't have a price tag with four digits.

I guess they are not only for monitoring and the experience when listening to the music is probably fantastic too. When investing in headphones above a certain price, I hope it's not only for Voice over 🙄 Thanks for the word about wearing glasses ! By the way, I'm experiencing something really annoying: I only use headphones or earphones, whatever I watch videos, listen to the music or work, just to not annoy my neighbours as it represents 80% of my days. For several months, I have felt itching in my ears because of the waves. Given that I use 2 different pairs of headphones and 2 pairs of different earbuds, I don't think it's due to poor maintenance. Sometimes it's immediate, sometimes it happens after a while. I did some research on the internet and it seems that there are creams for this (I promise I'll think about it tomorrow!!) but I was wondering if any of you have encountered this problem. Thank you in advance for your answers.

Nice review Jay. Glad you mentioned about the glasses, I have the same problem. But I'll be sticking with my DT 770's for a while.

Great review! Not sure Neumann does anything wrong under the Neumann branding. Love my KSM 105. High quality for high accuracy, No regrets. ❤

My pleasure! I use an Apollo Solo. Linked in the description 😊 As for dynamics depends on your budget somewhat, but Rode has some good cheap ones. I also have reviews here on Maono and fifine mics which are decent for the price.

What audio interface do you use ? Nobody never talk about the amplifier, but you can have the best headphones in the world, if your amplifier is crap, you will get crap sound. Investing in headphones like that and plugging them in a Scarlett solo or 2i2... or straight into a laptop 😭😭😭 Which means you might have to buy a DAC and the prices can become quickly very expensive (not talking about the USB cable you might have to replace with a better quality one)

Good eye! But no I’ve got em right. It took me a second to get used to it, but the cable is on the R ear cup. So it’s Different from many other headphones. Thanks for looking out
