This plugin is able to deliver huge heavy distortions like the Fortin, but it has a lot of other features as well. Definitely this is the plugin that sounds and responses just like a real amp. I wish Fluff would have cranked it up more to show how brutal it sounds.

What Gibson are you using and what pickups are you using? I’ve noticed that different pickups will drastically effect how the response. I mean, it’s true for amps also, but high gain, warm humbuckers will show through better with these DSP plugins because the artists are often using shred guitars. This is merely anecdotal, however

Hey bro, what interface are you plugged into? I'm plugged into a scarlett 2i2 and doesn't sound near as good, airy or open as yours. I have to tweak the fuck out of the tone just to get it sounding OK. I suspect there could be something up with my Scarlett. Cheers, bro
@Kitsunobu4 жыл бұрын
You probably had/found an answer already, anyway it can hopefully be useful for someone here... Make sure you do the gain staging properly, definitely try with new strings, use good cables, and so on. Tweak the presets AND the IR section (microphone distance,...etc). Also, check the oversampling, better results are with High option. Hope it helps! (I use 2i2 2nd gen, really happy with it)
@mitchcoull62904 жыл бұрын
@@pjnbcgjnnvffhbvu lol bro, I also have killer pickups but this does make a huge difference. I don't ever use stock pickups. I swap them out right away. Anyway, I found the issue. My 1st generation Scarlett pres are way too hot and just smash the signal. I'm using a Radial J48 and it sounds almost identical to his now.
@MarkStephensJr4 жыл бұрын
I just bought the scarlett 18i8 then a red eye re-amper/di box combo. Also can nothing get these tones. Running windows 64bit pro edition. 2tb of ssd, either 32 or 64gb of ram.. forget.. running 2 ripjaws 16x2 ram sets. Then I have the asus x570-p mother board and amd ryzen 5 3600 processor. Running a geforce gtx like 2600x or so for my graphics card... reaper for my daw.. Your post was 3 months ago. Were you able to work around the issue an find a fix? I can't for the life if me get a tone like this on any vst plugins.. an when I reamp still not that great either. Most definitely can't use amp sims going into my amp. I have to turn those off an only run the cab irs to mess with my tone a bit. That is about all I can get away with reamping. I'm new to all this and have had no help at all getting it setup or fixed.

I got this plugin and it does sound amazing! Just a question, the presets sound nice when I try them but nowhere near as nice as in this video! Are there any other effects you have on in your DAW? I was using an Ibanez RG7321 with a Crunch Lab 7 in the bridge tuned to D Standard, so I get that there might be differences because of that, but yours just sounds very saturated and gooey (in a good way). Mine is nice, but like I said..there's a difference. Anyone have any idea about why?
@jacobsmith18774 жыл бұрын
Hussam Raza I really think it's because Nolly plays PRS and Fluff is using a PRS. I think that Nolly probably dialed the patches with his guitars so they just sound perfect here. I have the same problem as you. I have a guitar with Duncans and another with Dimarzios and they just dont sound quite the same as they do here in the video

I've tried the Fortin Nameless Suite, and this Nolly. They excel at clarity, especially the Nameless Suite. But they sound like Marshalls and I'm not into Marshalls. The Nolly sounds sounds warmer like a Peavey? or something but still lacks "balls." I'm sticking with Mercuriall and Helix Native for now.
@BenjaminCaris4 жыл бұрын
Try the STL Tonality plugins. I'm using the Will Putney plugin and it definitely has tons of great metal tones with "balls"
@evitative4624 жыл бұрын
The Nameless sounds like a Marshall because it's based on a Marshall. Amp 2 on Nolly sounds like a Marshall because it's based on a Marshall. Amps 1, 3, and 4 on Nolly do not sound like a Marshall because they are not based on Marshalls.

He probably is. For some reason these neuraldsp reviews hate showing you the more technical things that go into making the vst sound good like their choice of audio interface/di box and vst's running along side it. Seems fishy to me, like they're being paid off to say "just download the plugin and plug your guitar in and it'll sound like a studio recording in one click. So easy."

Not to bust your balls, but can you do this on a cheap ass ART120 or something like it? DUSTIN BROWN Angry blues dads will be triggered now, but agree. I was chasing tones on my tube amps for years and after trying out the nameless suit, I threw them all and these expensive top of the line amps onto eBay after I called my GF into the room and asked her if that shit really sounded THAT good or if I’m just mental. She liked the plugin more as well. Those were pretty damn good rigs I had, but plugins are so much more comfortable and convenient to work with as well. Also no repairs, no tube replacement, no tubes warming up, lower electricity bill.
