Nolly should write a book about this stuff. He obviously knows a lot about modding amps, cabinet/speaker relationships, etc. It'd be a great reference guide for a studio and if he's as eloquent a writer as he is a speaker, probably a great read too

I own the Parallax. It is quite fantastic. Replaced several plug-ins. You can get tones ranging from almost any style. Should check out the demo. That's what I did & then bought it after it work for my mixes so well.

@Evan Cobb HI friend I recommend you do the following: Download the trial version of nolly and the emissary 2.0 with their respective IR loader Nadir 2.0 Then disable the nolly cab section, use a guitar DI track and compare both AMPS with settings all 12 o'clock, using the same IR in both with the Nadir plugin, with a quality IR like those of ownhammer. If you do this test well you will realize that they will sound practically the same and the difference in tone will be so minimal that it will not be worth paying 150 USD more. There you will understand that the tone is 80% IR and you do not need more Amp plugins or better algorithms or anything like that crap.

Nolly is just all around an inspirational dude. It took me awhile to realize just how important different speakers are to your guitar tone. I recently put a G12H-75 Creamback in a cab I built myself with the guts of a Marshall solid state practice combo and now that amp is my favorite thing to play through when I'm not using my tube amps. Always experiment where you can!!

I was sceptical about DSP just being another decent plugin company that still sounded digital, but this pushed me over the edge. I bought this and the Parallax, and I can say that the Parallax really is like an actual bass stack. Funny UI, but the tones sound pretty convincing. I'm replacing the JST Menace and Amplitude with this one, so hopefully it will make a world of a difference. I know what he means by inspiration coming from tone, I can play through a real amp setup and write for days, then run through a plugin and get stagnant almost immediately.
