My big concern is with the cybersecurity and vulnerability testing side of things is Elon musk and the project heads implementing safety for how the neuralink has and gives access. And to be completely honest cybercrime laws around the world aren't seriously considered and are woefully inadequate at allowing us to track down hackers.

I understand how security is considered afterward because thats what most companies do. I however am raising that as a concern right now while they are building it unlike other products the consequences can be far far worse, even unimaginably worse. I understand your statement even if they can't start vulnerability assessments now they have to start as soon as possible and it has to be the top priority without question it can't be a optimization bug fixing problem.

There is still so much space in neuroscience that is still unknown that we can still discover and learn about before we move into an "inevitable" digital future. Using these kinds of words is an agressive sales strategy to increase fomo around a future product. It's not a scientific statement; it's purely commercial. Please stick to the product itself, which is amazing in and of itself if it can even accomplish it's first goal, which is to help people with severe brain injury. No need to make it all matrix-y because I'd say it freaks people out in the long run, stay mindful.

My thoughts for neuralink for Dec 2021: 1. To play safe for humanity, we should first perfect ourselves and resolve all the neuralink problems before letting ai to take over most jobs. If not, we will just create endless of unresolvable issues to ourselves. 2. Once we are being chipped with neuralink, we must download ourselves with important knowledge like programming, engineering and etc. Then quickly using these knowledge to resolve and enhance current humanity issues. Before hackers, ai or gov controlling us. 3. Ai might get corrupted by our collective evil thoughts, going haywire by itself with or without consciousness. 4. Before a person going to die, he/she should sign a consent on whether to have eternal life with robot body and neuralink. If not, his/her brain will be use as a non conscious hdd. 5. Will musk enhance the neuralink chip with in built fan to keep the chip cool like cpu? If not, it might burn our brain by overheating. As long we don't wear a smartglasses or wearing an airplane mode hat. We should be able to temporarily disconnect ourselves from online. 6. For sure the only different in knowledge with the rich and poor will be some of the knowledge only being accessible for them like military, trade secrets and etc.
