I find it very comprehensive it is not the narrator, but the story I want to listen to and I certainly do not find the voice objectionable in fact I would have known it AI ,it is clear and has expression so makes easy to listen to. so thank you. I enjoyed it. 👍🥂

It often uses the present tense long e for the past tense of “read”. As in “she reed it every night” or “he had reed it. I thought this indicated ESL rather than AI.

The narrator's not terrible but I find it hard to understand what he's saying. I do have a hearing problem and so sometimes I don't listen to stories because they don't have voices that are easy to understand and this is one of them.😮

I don't know if it is AI but nearly all of Maugham's stories are narrated by this voice. I have listened to all of them. 😂
