Many thanks for this. I saw a television adaptation of this maybe 60 years ago and the story has remained impressed upon me ever since. If a copy of the film is available somewhere on the net, I would be grateful for the info.

If only more realized shrines an relics are tools of use; rather than of independent power. Prophets are as the seeing and their close following upholds their vision till it fades like no one ever saw beyond their own feelings.
