Well, not all 128G, as even the best configured Windows system still needs around 10GB to just run and OBS, Browser etc. also take aways ome GB. I guess the RAM got small because she was literally singing with multiple voices in that one part - which means, that the software had to render SEVERAL neuro voices at once. that's heavy.

It doesn't cost you a cent more when your RAM runs on full capacity, as RAM always has to be on full power anyway. And depending on her processor doing high performance can mean between 65W to 250W consumption.

But to put that into perspective: 1 kwh normally cost around 24 pence in the UK. A good gaming rig can take between 300-1000 W. 1000W as W is per second is the same as 1 kWh. Which means a computer that run at 1 kW per second cost you around 24 pence per hour to run. But now here is the deal: When you use more than 60 pence per day in the UK, you don't pay anything extra. So Vedal can only pay 60 pence per day for running Neuro.

The lamp did multiple things throughout the stream. Most likely, he gave the lamp custom behavior for karaoke to look cool since the karaoke segments are less demanding than the normal segments (she is just playing an audio file and dancing/singing along, not using much of her actual AI)

@@braxat52 Going from using near none of the ram to nearly all of it and constantly fluctuating between the two states when Vedal has as much ram as he does would mean something extremely weird is happening and is very coincidentally well timed for the song. In other songs, the lamp went to blues and purples, not in the red-yellow-green spectrum that the ram is in, showing that the lamp was indeed modified for karaoke in someway.

Neuro probably try to simulate the emotion of the song and represent to her voice while singing, the process is much more complicated and very unnatural to the AI than just singing in high notes so that would be the reason why her RAMing up like that.

Seems like longer sentences in a song take more ram and when the available memory runs low there's more quantization. There's also a lag of the singing by about 7 or 8 seconds compared to the lamp. I think Vedal should try using jemalloc to cope with the residual heap fragmentation after the ram usage spike. There seems to be quite some paging going on towards the end. Looking at how a lot of ram was free'd at the end of the song suggests to me that each song runs as a separate process.
