i did a workshop with Rae Tattenbaum. What took place was incredible. People in the audience were crying. My piano performance was night and day before and after just that one session (not a permanent effect in such a short time), and I am not some one who gets nervous, just distracted. This is one of the greatest tools available to people of all walks of life. Absolutely incredible.

omfg i want that so bad. after spending a the summer with my brother i was very attentive and could multitask and could process everything so much better than i ever had the first time in my whole life as my whole life i have had nothing to do until that summer. since he left i have been getting slower and dumber and can't do what i used to i so want to get that feeling back of just being able to do so much work and do it so well and just bang out work fun activities and tasks so well

u control the level of that particular stimulus through brainwaves and get substantial feedback on how the stimulus is varying over time (through eyes, ears). since u have a feedback the areas responsible for the change automatically tune in order to achieve accuracy over the task. it definitely works, to the extent that u can easily learn how to control a prosthetic limb. usually in less than 20 min it is possible to control simple stuff, like the height of a growing bar.

@MrShagoB thanks for your reply. could you point me to a paper where it is given an account in microbiological terms of neurofeedback being beneficial for cognitive tasks (memory, problem solving, pattern recognition, stimuli discrimination, etc..)? thanks

through neurofeedback ur brain learns how to control some sort of stimulus (visual, auditory).

this does not mean that neurofeedback is a general cognitive enhancer. i am not 100% sure that there's not scientific theory supporting what it's been claimed in this video, but i am quite confident to say that this does not reflect the current scientific view. i believe the gentleman was being honest in his claims, as by the same coin other people are when they r acknowledging the positive effects of what turns out to be nothing more than placebo treatments.
