Please guide me. My elder Sister is also suffering from the same disease. she is married. she got married in May 2017. she gave birth to her first son in 2018 and then in January 2020, a few days after the birth of her second child. The first attack took place until he was rushed to a hospital and later found out that he had this strange disease.

I read that eating gluten and suger free can delay attacks from happening. The auto immunesystem can react to food as well

I have NMO going on three years now. Of late I am experiencing more pain than usual. My ribs and avdom area burns and feel like I have a sore. The medications I am in are not helping. Please direct me to the right doctor. I live in NYC.

Which medicine are you taking? I am on Mycophenolate mycofit and I am completely ok. Its been one year of the first attack.

I would go to the nearest LVHN my doctor is part of LvHN and she does regular research and shares it during panels with other doctors but LVHN has the most of her research.

I being diagnostic with NMO in July 2022 and I’m not getting the right information feeling soo confused as am still not recovered, my walking is very bad and keep losing balance, I had baby 2021 and was rushed to hospital 1st of May 2022 and was hospitalized for 3 months, still on some medication, I was on high dose of steroids 60m for 3 months, took Rituximan back in July and Augest still struggling with my walking I feel like my spinal cord is literally coming out. Wanted know if anyone is suffering of what am going though am mother of 3 babies under 5 , it hurts as I can’t take my daughter to school or even carry my little one.

My daughter also suffering from this disease when she got this disease her baby is 3month old only my daughter paralayzed she confined 1month and 8days but still she not ok her spinal cord big affected she can't up her self by her own and also she can't walk good she need use walker to walk..
